On when he decided to switch careers from an office job to become a professional golfer:
“After graduating from Northern Iowa in 2003, I got a desk job. I enjoyed what I did but always felt there was more. After seeing fellow Iowan Zach Johnson win The Masters, coupled with friends asking why I gave up golf, I decided to quit the 7a.m. to 7 p.m. gig and go for my dream. I wanted to put myself in a situation where I could work on my own dream instead of somebody else’s. My wife and I moved to Arizona in 2009, having no clue what we were doing or where we were going to live.   Although it hasn’t been easy, it has been worth it to know that I will never have to ask myself, ‘what if’ or live with regrets of giving up on my dream.”
