Jeff Foster

Jeff Foster is an industry leader and creative visionary with a proven track record of building successful digital businesses, while fostering professionals with disparate points of view into collaborative, unified teams.

Foster currently is senior vice president of new media for Golf Channel, serving key leadership roles for the suite of digital businesses under the Golf Channel brand, led by GolfNow, a technology company specializing in golf-related products and services with the most powerful online tee time reservation platform in golf; and including GolfAdvisor.com, the leading online source for user-generated golf course reviews by golfers that features more than 400,000 reviews of nearly 10,000 golf courses around the world.

Foster began his Golf Channel career in 1997 as part of the network’s sponsorship sales group and, subsequently, transitioned to management roles in sales, event operations, business acquisitions and integration. He later became part of the team challenged to create and build golf-related businesses apart from the cable network, but which also could leverage the promotional power of the Golf Channel brand. The acquisition of GolfNow, which allows golfers to book tee times online anytime from anywhere, provided Foster and Golf Channel’s leadership team with the vision to expand and create more transactional operations that encourage golfers play more golf and help golf course operators grow their businesses.

He has played key roles in launching a full menu of GolfNow technology and services that help golf courses manage their businesses more efficiently, improve customer service and bolster their bottom line, including GolfNow Ride, a group purchasing program that offers courses significant discounts on things they buy every day; GolfNow Plus, a consultative sales and marketing service; and GolfNow Answers, a telephone reservations service. Beginning with an original list of 800 golf course partners, GolfNow currently is helping more than 9,000 around the world, which represent more than 30 percent of the world’s golf courses and is a testament to the company’s mission to expand globally.

A native of Ponte Vedra, Fla., Foster earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Augusta State University while playing on a golf scholarship. He later played professional golf for a brief time. He currently lives with his wife and three children in the Orlando, Fla., suburb of College Park.
