John Cook is a contributor to Morning Drive during some of golf’s biggest weeks, including major championships and The Presidents Cup. He also is an occasional analyst for Golf Central, the network’s daily evening news program.
Cook currently competes full time on the Champions Tour, where he has earned 10 victories since joining in 2007. Prior, Cook won 11 times on the PGA TOUR and was a member of the 1993 winning Ryder Cup team.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, Cook moved to Southern Calif., at an early age where he resided until moving back to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University. As a member of the men’s golf team, Cook helped Ohio State win the 1979 NCAA team Championship. He also won the U.S. Amateur in 1978.
Cook resides in Windermere, Fla., with his wife.
