Matt Gogel is an analyst, tower announcer and on-course reporter for Golf Channel’s PGA TOUR tournament coverage. Gogel also contributes to the network’s coverage of the Big Break Invitational.
After a 13-year professional golf career that included stints on the Asian PGA Tour (1994-’96), the Web.com Tour (1996-’99) and the PGA TOUR (2000-’06), Gogel retired from professional golf following the 2007 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, site of his 2002 PGA TOUR victory. He was the first player in Web.com Tour history to record victories over the course of four consecutive seasons, earning six in total during his career. Following his retirement from competitive golf, Gogel made his on-air debut with Golf Channel in 2007 at the Travelers Championship.
An All-American at the University of Kansas, Gogel lives in Mission Hills, Kan., with his wife and two children.
