Host, The Golf Fix
Michael Breed joined Golf Channel in 1999, and has served as host of The Golf Fix, the network’s fast-paced instruction show since 2009. A Monday night staple on Golf Channel, The Golf Fix was a Cablefax Program Award finalist for “Best Education/Instructional Series” in 2014. Breed is a regular on Golf Channel’s Live From programming, airing on-site from the game’s biggest events, and also contributes to the network’s coverage of the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship National Finals from Augusta National Golf Club, as well as Golf Channel’s coverage of the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship and PGA Professional National Championship.
Breed is currently the Director of Instruction at the Michael Breed Golf Academy at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in New York. Prior, he was the Director of Instruction at Manhatten Woods Golf Club in West Nyack, N.Y. He has authored two books, The Picture Perfect Golf Swing and The Three Degree Putting Solution and has contributed his golf instruction to TBS, CBS, Cablevision, Golf Magazine and Sports Illustrated.
As one of Golf Magazine's Top 100 Instructors and Golf Digest’s Top 50 Instructors, Breed earned the Metropolitan PGA Horton Smith Award in 2007 and 2008 and was named Metropolitan PGA Teacher of the Year in 2000. Also named the Metropolitan PGA Section Teacher of the Year, he is a two-time Ely Calloway winner in 2010 and 2011, and was the 2012 PGA National Teacher of the Year.
Over the course of his career as an instructor, Breed has worked with more than 30 PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, Web.com Tour, and Champions Tour players.
