The Takeaway Face On
As Rick Cochran takes the club back his head tilts slightly, and his left eye is positioned directly on top of the golf ball.
9 O’Clock Face On
At the half way point of his backswing, Rick Cochran has a huge amount of extension and has begun to coil nicely.
At The Top Face On
At the top of Rick Cochran’s swing, he has the club in a perfect spot. He has the club far away from his head and just shy of parallel. Notice the angle made by his left leg, watch this leg as he attacks the ball.
Transition Face On
As Rick Cochran begins his down swing, you will notice his left knee move towards your right, this movement of the knee allows Rick to start to release his hips.
Almost To The Ball Face On
As Rick Cochran gets ready to make contact with the ball, you will notice that his left leg is now completely straight, and his hips have released nicely. He also has a great amount of lag headed into the ball.
Flying Divot Face On
This position is picture perfect. Rick Cochran has his head down, he is shaking hands with his target and his right heel is beginning to come off the ground.
Almost To The Finish Face On
In this position you can really see how Rick Cochran has released the golf club by rotating his forearms. At this point, his forearms look to actually be touching.
The Finish Face On
Rick Cochran has a textbook finish position. All his weight is on his left side, his right heel is completely off the ground and his belt buckle is facing his target.
The Set Up Down The Line
Rick Cochran sets up to the ball wonderfully, not only are all his lines parallel to his target line, his spine angle is wonderful. Notice how flat his back is at address.
The Take Away Down The Line
As Rick Cochran takes the club back, he quickly gets the club into a perfect position. The toe of the club has begun to point skyward and he has kept the triangle made by his arms and shoulders nicely.
Interesting Position Down The Line
At this point in his swing, Rick Cochran has the club a little off plane. His next move is straight up, and gets the club back on plane nicely.
At The Top Face On
From the previous position, Rick Cochran has lifted the club straight up, and has now got the club in the perfect position. His left arm matches his shoulders perfectly and his club is pointing towards his target.
Dropping Into The Slot Down The Line
As Rick Cochran attacks the ball, he releases his hips and drops the club straight down into “the slot”.
Flying Divot Down The Line
Take notice of this position. It is absolutely perfect. His head is still down nicely, and his arms are both completely extended towards his target.
Almost To The Finish Down The Line
Here most players have their right arm matching the angle of their shoulders. The position that Rick Cochran has the club, just above the angle of his shoulders, tells us that he is playing a small draw. We can tell this because to get the club into this position, you must have an inside out swing path.
The Finish Down The Line
Absolutely perfect finish position. Rick Cochran has maintained his spine angle nicely, and his club is now pointing almost directly to where the ball was laying before he made contact with it.
