JACKSON, Miss. – The Mississippi Supreme Court says the ex-wife of pro golfer John Daly can pursue claims Daly's girlfriend broke up their marriage.
Sherrie Allison Miller is suing Anna Cladakis in Mississippi for unspecified damages. Miller argues Cladakis met Daly while the couple was separated and began a sexual relationship that lead to Daly dissolving their marriage.
Cladakis argued to the court she doesn't live in Mississippi and neither does Daly so Mississippi courts have no interest in the case.
On Jan. 15, the Mississippi Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling that the state allows for alienation of affection lawsuits. Miller may have grounds for damages if she can prove her ex-husband and Cladakis conducted a sexual relationship in Mississippi.
