This week the 2016 fantasy golf season rolls along in Connecticut, as 144 players tee it up in the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. Experts will offer up their picks from four groups of players, based on Golf Channel's fantasy game, Fantasy Challenge. We will also keep track of their scores and standings. The panel includes: senior writers Rex Hoggard and Randall Mell; editorial director Jay Coffin; associate editor Will Gray; 'Morning Drive' host Gary Williams; host Charlie Rymer and defending fantasy champion Ryan Lavner.
Group 1: Bubba Watson: The defending champ is clearly the man to beat this week in Cromwell, with two wins along with a runner-up and T-4 finish at this event all since 2010.
Group 2: Ryan Moore: Moore seems to save some of his best golf for this event every year, with five finishes of T-7 or better at TPC River Highlands since 2006.
Group 3: Jon Rahm: After weeks in Group 4, Rahm gets a promotion but is still a great player to add to any roster after his runner-up finish in Canada basically locked up his card for next season.
Group 4: Brendon de Jonge: The veteran has struggled through a tough season, but he seemed to turn a bit of a corner at Barbasol and in Canada and his tendency to hit plenty of greens could bode well at a course like TPC River Highlands.
