Despite a shaky finish, Sang-Moon Bae was able to close out the second win of his career at the Frys.com Open. Here's the skinny from the final round at Silverado.
Leaderboard: Sang-Moon Bae (-15), Steven Bowditch (-13), Bryce Molder (-12), Hideki Matsuyama (-12), Retief Goosen (-12), Hunter Mahan (-12), Martin Laird (-12)
What it means: Until Sunday Bae had failed to finish in the top 10 since his first win at the 2013 Byron Nelson. Now after winning the first event of the 2014-15 season, Bae is fully exempt through the 2016-17 season, and he earned invitations to the 2015 Hyundai Tournament of Champions, the Masters, the Players and the PGA. Bae also joined K.J. Choi and Y.E. Yang as the only Korean-born players with multiple Tour wins.
Round of the day: Steven Bowditch went 67-67 over the weekend to finish in second place. It was his first top 10 since winning the Valero Texas Open in March. Lee Westwood, Hudson Swafford, Scott Brown and Robert Streb also tied Bowditch for low round of the day.
Best of the rest: Molder made six birdies on the back nine for a 68 and a share of third place. It was a much-needed finish for Molder, who hadn't seen the top 10 since February at Riviera.
Biggest disappointment: Coming off a third-round 66, Matt Kuchar was expected to be one of the players who would post a number Sunday and put some pressure on Bae. Instead, Kuchar went the other way with a 4-over 76 for a T-21 finish.
