PARAMUS, N.J. – Searching for his first PGA Tour victory on a star-studded Barclays leaderboard, Cameron Tringale already has a strategy in place for the final two rounds.
“I'm just going to keep kind of doing what I've been doing, which is not really getting that worked up about anything,” he said. “I think having a good attitude is a big advantage out here, especially in the position I'm in. So if I can keep that up and the physical skills stay where they are at, I should hopefully have a chance on Sunday.”
Rounds of 66-68 have Tringale tied for the lead with defending champion Adam Scott. He maintains, though, that playing with the former No. 1 won’t affect him in Saturday’s third round.
“I think my juices would be flowing regardless. I'm excited. He's been the No. 1 player in the world just until this last month. It's very exciting and very cool. I'm looking forward to the challenge and to a fun day.”
