NAPLES, Fla. – Stacy Lewis, Inbee Park and Lydia Ko have been seeing a lot of each other lately.
They’re 1-2-3 in the Race to the CME Globe point standings with Lewis leading the way, and they’re 1-2-3 in the Rolex World Rankings with Park leading the way.
The trio will tee it up together as the final group out in Thursday’s first round of the CME Group Tour Championship. They’re scheduled to go off the first tee at 10:56 a.m. at Tiburon Golf Club. They also played together in the first round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational last week.
As the top three in the Race to the CME Globe points standings, Lewis, Park and Ko are the only players who are guaranteed winning the $1 million jackpot that goes to the season-long points winner if they win the Tour Championship.
Thursday’s tee times are arranged based on the Race to the CME Globe points standings. Only the top nine in the standings can win the Globe and the jackpot. So Thursday’s final three threesomes go off as the big money players this week. Michelle Wie, So Yeon Ryu and Shanshan Feng are 4-5-6 in the standings and scheduled to tee off together at 10:45 a.m. Anna Nordqvist, Chella Choi and Karrie Webb are 7-8-9 in the standings and are scheduled to go off at 10:34 a.m.
