Adam Svensson earned fully exempt status next year on the Web.com Tour after a seven-shot victory Sunday at Q-School.
Svensson, a first-year pro out of Barry University, shot 20-under 266 on PGA National’s Champion Course. The top 45 finishers are exempt through at least the second reshuffle on the developmental tour in 2016.
Those who placed second through 10th are exempt through the third reshuffle, a group that includes former No. 1-ranked amateur Ollie Schniederjans, U.S. Walker Cupper Denny McCarthy and former Auburn standout Dominic Bozzelli. NCAA runner-up Cheng-Tsung Pan tied for 14th.
The cut for the low 45 finishers (and ties) fell at 2-under 284 and included 2012 U.S. Amateur champion Steven Fox, who now will be exempt through the second reshuffle.
Former Illinois star Brian Campbell, the low amateur at this year’s U.S. Open, missed the cutoff by one shot, and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, Jack Maguire and Austin Cook are among those who will have work to do next year.
