Each week on GolfChannel.com, we’ll take a detailed look at the players who pounded the farthest and fastest drives on the PGA Tour. Here are the five most important distance-related statistics from the Travelers Championship, won by Kevin Streelman:
Longest drive: Jamie Lovemark, 373 yards
Lovemark only tied for 31st in Hartford, but this was his second time leading this category in the past five events. He also posted a 379-yarder at the Byron Nelson.
Recent leaders: Scott Stallings, 366 yards (FedEx), Bubba Watson, 364 yards (Memorial); Andrew Loupe, 365 yards (Colonial)
Driving distance: Bubba Watson, 312.3 yards
The season-long leader in driving distance was also the longest at TPC River Highlands. Watson finished T-31 at the Travelers, but he led this category for the sixth time this season, and first since his 306.1-yard average at The Players.
