Lydia Ko won her second straight major title Sunday and earned a celebratory jump into Poppie's Pond. Here's how it all went down in the final round at the ANA Inspiration.
Leaderboard: Lydia Ko (-12), Charley Hull (-11), In Gee Chun (-11), Ariya Jutanugarn (-10), Lexi Thompson (-9)
What It Means: Ko birdied 18 to become the youngest two-time major winner in LPGA history and the youngest two-time major winner (man or woman) since Young Tom Morris in 1869. She also won her second major in a row after capturing last year's Evian Championship. Ko has now finished first or second in nine of her last 14 worldwide starts. Already this year, Ko has won titles at the ISPS Handa New Zealand Women's Open, Kia Classic and now the ANA. It marks the 18-year-old's 12th LPGA title.
Round of the Day: Brooke Henderson, 18, made four back-nine birdies for a 5-under 67 to finish T-9. Mo Martin also fired a 67 to finish T-14.
Biggest Disappointment: Thompson started the final round with the lead, but she quickly faded with three bogeys on the front nine. But Jutanugarn suffered the biggest heartbreak. She had a two-shot lead with three holes left and finished bogey, bogey, bogey.
Shot of the Day: Ko knocked her third shot on the par-5 18th to 2 feet to set up the winning birdie putt
Quote of the Day: "It motivates me to work harder." – Ko after her win
