The qualifying schedule has been unveiled for the 2017 Drive, Chip & Putt Championship, a contest that will culminate with the national finals at Augusta National Golf Club.
Open to boys and girls ages 7-15, the event aims to help younger generations begin their lifelong connection with golf by providing a fun, interactive platform for participants of all skill levels. Local qualifying will begin Sunday, May 8 at TPC Sawgrass and will continue across all 50 states.
A total of 256 local qualifiers will be held from May-August, with the top three juniors advancing from each age and gender category. Fifty sub-regional events across 31 states will be held in July and August, with two juniors from each category advancing.
From there, a series of 10 regional contests will be conducted in September with one junior advancing from each category.
The top 80 performers - 40 boys and 40 girls - will compete for the national championship in their respective age group on Sunday, April 2, the day before the Masters begins at Augusta National.
