PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Justin Rose is recovering well from an early-season shoulder injury that limited his schedule.
“I’m not 100 percent, but I would say I’m at least 95 percent there physically for golf,” he said in advance of this week’s Valspar Championship. “I feel like my motor pattern is where I need it to be and feeling strong again and getting my ball speed and clubhead speed back to where it should be.”
So far this year, Rose has competed in just three events – T-45 at the Northern Trust Open, T-17 at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship and T-34 at the WGC-Cadillac Championship.
“If you can’t do it on the range at home, you can never do it out here,” said the reigning U.S. Open champion. “I’m beginning to see that momentum, that confidence. I need to carry through to tournaments now.”
