Invitations to the 16-team modified double-elimination events, which will be held in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., are based on 2003 NCAA Championship finish and boasts one of the strongest fields in the nation.
This marks the inaugural Hooters Match Play Championship for the women and the second for the men. The women will compete Nov. 2-4 and the men tee off Nov. 7-9.
Defending NCAA champion Clemson and Augusta State - the winner of last year's Match Play - highlight the men's field. Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, NC State, Oklahoma State, Southern California, Texas, UCLA, UNLV, Wake Forest and Wichita State round out the field.
National champion Southern California headlines the women's field that includes 16 of the top 18 finishers from the 2003 NCAA Championships. The Women of Troy will be joined by Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Duke, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and UCLA.
