Masters Ratings Soar for Woods Historic Run
This year almost 41 million people watched CBS' final day coverage to see Tiger's successful run at a fourth straight major championship title. Sunday's 13.0 rating and 29 share was second only to 1997's high watermark of a 14.1 rating and 31 share.
The audience peaked between 5:30-6:00p.m. when the rating reached 14.9. That placed third for the week in Primetime behind only CBS' hit show Survivor and the Duke-Arizona NCAA Title game.
Sunday's ratings were up 30% from last year's10.0 rating when Vijay Singh won the Green Jacket.
Each rating point represents a little more than 1 million television households.
