CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In his first full season as a PGA Tour member, David Lynn has already competed in 14 events, playing in nearly every one for which he’s been qualified.
With his playoff loss at the Wells Fargo Championship, Lynn likely has his 2014 PGA Tour card sewn up, which works perfectly in his plans, because the Englishman won’t spend much more time stateside.
After Sunday’s round, he intimated that the upcoming Players Championship would be his final start before heading back to the European Tour for the summer. He will return for the PGA Championship, where he finished in second place last year at Kiawah.
And yes, that includes missing the U.S. Open.
“Well, this is the problem now,” Lynn said. “I wasn’t in the U.S. Open, so I’ve made other plans now. I’ve actually booked a holiday. So as it stands, I’m going on holiday.”
