JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Steve Stricker struggled a day after tying the record for lowest 18-hole score in a major championship.
His 74 was 11 shots worse than his opening round at the PGA Championship.
And yet he’s still in the hunt just two shots off the lead and tied for seventh.
“The way we got there wasn’t ideal, but we’re still right there,” Stricker said. “Anything could happen on the weekend.”
Stricker, 44, seeking his first major championship victory, is among 10 players within two shots of the lead.
