Pro Football Hall of Fame Member Anthony Munoz sat down with Morning Drive Contributor Annika Sorenstam at the Escape For Good charitable event in Phoenix, Arizona. The Anthony Munoz Foundation works to engage the Tri-State region to impact the youth mentally, physically, and spiritually. He played golf at the event and other than the first two holes he did not play too well although he always enjoys playing golf. His wife told Annika that Golf Channel is on the TV at the Munoz household close to 24 hours a day.
The size of the players in the NFL has been one of the biggest changes he has seen since he retired from football. Also, the game has become more focused on offense and less on defense but he still believes that NFL football is a great team sport. There are so many more defensive linemen who are very athletic and able to readily catch interceptions and pick up fumbles.
He is using his Foundation as a platform to improve the lives of as many youth in the Tri-State area as possible. They are focusing on education, character, and leadership. The Foundation gives out about 23 scholarships a year with the help of some great corporate partners and they also hold numerous team-building seminars and leadership summits.
