On Thursday, a nearly three-hour delay forced the first round into Friday. The weather was worse on Friday as players never returned from a stoppage, so the second round was completed on Saturday.
The lightning on Saturday halted play after the final threesome played one hole of the third round. That forced tournament officials to cut the tournament to 54 holes.
The final round will resume at 7:45 p.m. (ET) Saturday.
Thammanoon Srirot birdied his first hole in the third round and is now in the lead at 13 under par. David Park, the second-round leader, bogeyed his first to fall into a tie for second with two-time defending champion Thongchai Jaidee at minus-12.
Mark Foster is 4-under par through five holes. He is tied for fourth place at 11-under par with John Bickerton, who birdied his first hole.
Raphael Jacquelin, Marcus Fraser, Gary Murphy, Charlie Wi, Gary Simpson, Francesco Molinari and Soren Kjeldsen are knotted in sixth place at 10 under par.
