Shaker Run Golf Club to host 2005 US Amateur Public Links
This will be the first time Shaker Run will host a USGA event. The last time an Amateur Public Links championship was held in Ohio was 1987 at Glenview Golf Course in Cincinnati.
Shaker Run, a 27-hole facility, was designed by Arthur Hills and opened in 1979. The club features the Woodlands and Lakeside nines, designed by Hills, and the Meadows nine, added in 1999.
'We are honored to provide the No. 1 public golf facility in Ohio to the USGA,' said owner David Brooks.
This year's U.S. Amateur Public Links will be played at The Orchards Club in Washington, Michigan, from July 15-20.
