This will be the first of four straight weeks in the Sunshine State. Last year, the final round headed to a playoff and the four players participating in the extra session ran out of daylight, prompting a Monday finish.
The foursome -- Mark Wilson, Jose Coceres, Boo Weekley and Camilo Villegas -- returned to the Champion Course at PGA National after a night's sleep and they returned to the 10th hole.
Weekley and Villegas dropped out after the first hole Monday morning, and second of the playoff, as they both bogeyed the 10th.
Wilson and Coceres moved to the 17th where Wilson drained a 10-footer for birdie. He stepped aside to watch Coceres attempt a birdie of nearly equal length. Coceres missed and Wilson claimed his first tour win.
The win snapped a 111-event winless drought and was the first for Wilson, who had played in each of the previous 10 Q-schools.
Wilson had to play even better over the weekend after calling a two-stroke penalty on himself Friday after his caddie inadvertently gave Villegas club information on a par-three.
Last year was the sixth playoff in the 35-year history of the tournament.
The GOLF CHANNEL will cover the opening two rounds as usual, then NBC takes over for the final two rounds.
The TOUR shifts to Palm Harbor next week for the PODS Championship, where Mark Calcavecchia won last year.
