Kauai Lagoons Golf Club reopened its newly renovated Kiele Moana (ocean) Nine in May of 2011. Under the direction of original course designer Jack Nicklaus, the Kiele Moana Nine (former Kiele back 9) received extensive upgrades including new TifEagle putting surfaces, bunkers and three new holes. One new hole is a dramatic ocean hole that joins three others in creating the longest stretch of continuous ocean holes of any course in Hawaii. The Kiele Mauka Nine (original Kiele front 9) provides the starting nine for this spectacular 18 holes of Kiele golf.
