The 18-hole "Salem" course at the Salem Golf Club facility in Salem, Oregon features 6,200 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 68.4, and it has a slope rating of 114 on Blue grass. Designed by Ercel Kay, the Salem golf course opened in 1928. Playing golf at Salem Golf Course becomes a nature walk with all its natural beauty. Trees line the fairways and numerous wildlife--deer, squirrels, geese, ducks, hawks and osprey--can be seen.
