Meadows Farms, Inc. is one of the largest independently owned nursery and garden centers in the country, with twenty-two retail locations, employing over 750 employees, and a landscape facility housing 39 designers and sending out over 70 crews a day. A nursery growing operation, cattle company, and a 27-hole public golf course are also under the Meadows Farms umbrella.

The 18-hole "Island Green Nine" course at the Meadows Farms Golf Course facility in Locust Grove, Virginia features 3,096 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 35 . Designed by Bill Ward, the Island Green Nine golf course opened in 1993. Bobby Lewis manages the course as the General Manager.
