Mare Island Golf Club was established in 1892, making it the oldest course west of the Mississippi.
Recently expanded into a full 18-hole facility by renowned Pacific Rim architect Robin Nelson, the new course is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities.
Half the holes winds through tree-lined fairways, while the other half offers a more links-style journey. Almost every hole offers a magnificent view of either the San Pablo Bay, the Napa River, Mt. Tamalpais and even the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day. No other Bay Area course has more panoramic vistas.
