The 18-hole "Split Rail" course at the Split Rail Links and Golf Club facility in Aledo, Texas features 7,353 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Phil Lumsden, the Split Rail golf course opened in 2002. In 2005, the Dallas Morning News rated Split Rail as the 3rd toughest golf course in the state with a course rating of 76.2 and a slope of 138.
