El Cameleon de Mayakoba

Playa del Carmen, QR 77710

Description Needed

Designed by Greg Norman as a par 72, 18-hole championship course, El Camaleón – or The Chameleon in English -- is rightly named for its diverse layout and ever-changing landscape. Located in the heart of the Maya Riviera betweenCancun and Playa del Carmen, El Camaleón bends through tropical jungles, dense mangroves and oceanfront stretches of sand with holes bisected by massive limestone canals. In fact, indigenous and environmentally inspired design aspects are evident from the opening fairway, which houses an imposing cenote, an ancient, underground cavern common to the area that was unearthed during the initial stages of the course’s construction.

The Jim McLean Golf School at Mayakoba is the first and only Jim McLean Golf School in Mexico, and has become a prime destination for discerning golf travelers worldwide. The Jim McLean Golf School at Mayakoba features two state-of-the-art SuperStations, enabling students will benefit from the latest technology in golf analysis computer software as well as highly personalized instruction programs crafted by certified Jim McLean Master Instructors.
