Check out photos of Big Break Greenbrier’s Mike Tobiason’s Swing Sequence.
Michael Tobiason has a great set up position. His hands are in front of the ball and he has a very solid grip.
Michael Tobiason has begun to swing the club back, and the toe has begun to rotate open. Notice how his head does not move up or down at all as he starts his swing.
As Michael Tobiason arrives at the top of his swing, he is in a great position with a large amount of shoulder turn and a nice weight shift.
Here he has arrived at the top of his swing. The toe of the club is pointed down at the ground, his shoulders have turned nicely under his chin, and his club is just shy of parallel.
As Michael Tobiason approaches the ball on his downswing, you will notice a tremendous amount of lag. Lag equals distance!
Just after making contact with the ball, Michael Tobiason has a great amount of extension; both of his arms are nearly completely straight.
Here Michael Tobiason has completely released the golf club and is starting to move toward the finishing position.
Michael Tobiason finishes his swing beautifully with all his weight over his left foot, and his right heel completely off the ground.
Big Break Greenbriers Michael Tobiason sets up to the ball wonderfully. His feet, hips, and shoulders are all square to his target line.
Michael Tobiason is hitting a draw here, and you can tell this because the club head is inside his hands at this point in the swing.
After taking the club back slightly inside, he moves the club straight up, so that he is now on plane.
Here Michael Tobiason has the club in a beautiful spot. Notice how his left arm dissects his shoulders and the club face is in the same position as his left wrist.
As Michael Tobiason starts his down swing, you will notice his hips begin to clear, and the butt of the club moves directly towards the ground.
As Michael Tobiason makes contact with the ball, his head is down and both of his arms are nearly fully extended.
Michael Tobiason is in a perfect position here. His spine angle has been maintained, the club is on a straight line with his shoulders, and his left heel is begging to come off the ground.
Here Michael Tobiason has finished his swing and all of his weight is on his left side nicely.
