-The Big Break is back and it's headed to Vegas. Ten men have come to the City of Lights in the search of their big break but only one will leave a champion. Only one will claim 4 Nationwide Tour exemptions. Four of the most unique golf courses in Vegas will provide the stage on which the competition will unfold. The golfers will face challenges designed to test the limits of their shot-making ability. If they can hit their shots, they move on. But if they can't, it's bye-bye Vegas. Each week, one golfer will be sent packing leaving the others to battle for the 4 exemptions. Ten men will roll the dice but only one will receive the ultimate payoff on The Big Break II. -Thousands applied for The Big Break II but only a luck few received the call informing them they were headed to Vegas. -Hello? Hello. This is Mike. -Hey, how's it going? -Good. How are you doing? -Might right dandy yourself. -I'm on The Big Break? Oh, man. This is incredible. Can you believe this? Yeah. -You are gonna be on The Big Break. -Like the actual show? That's awesome, dude. I'm great. Great. Wow, I didn't expect that. -I'm [unk]. -You're in. -Thank you very much. Thank you very much. I didn't give it to you [unk]. -Yeah. I'm in, guys. This is the phone call I'm [unk]. -Yeah, Scottie. -Awesome. Thank you. God, what great news. -You're kidding me. That's awesome. -Who is the viewer's choice to be on The Big Break II? Jay McNair. -Unbelievable. No way. -Oh, God. This is the most exciting news I've ever had in my life. -I'm a finalist. So, I guess I'm in. -So are there a bunch of school kids celebrating in Tampa, Florida right now? -You know, there- my kids. I know they're having a ball watching this. -[unk] there, buds. -Bye. -Yeah. Made this [unk]. -They all knew they were headed to Vegas for The Big Break II. What they didn't know was that it was by way of Ontario, California. -We're going on to Ontario, California and I was sleeping. Okay, why am I going there if we're going, you know, to Vegas like why wouldn't I just fly into Vegas? -Here I am. -I just walked in there, you know, and I'm sitting down in the room and I'm looking and I see all the chairs. First thing that goes through my mind in that situation is "Is this some kind of setup? Is everybody else someplace else and I'm here by myself?" -There's a guy started coming in and it was a completely different situation. -My baggage is always the last out at the airport. -[unk] smiling by [unk]. -Jay [unk], dude. -John. How are you doing? -Nice to meet you too, man. -I was the second guy there so it was just- Scott was just sitting there. -Where are you coming from? -By Calgary. -Calgary. -Calgary, Alberta. Yeah. -Wow. -Just north of Calgary. -That's cool. -How about yourself? -Saint Louis. -Oh really? How are you doing? -Trying to make conversation with a guy that you never even met- or never met before. You know, I'm not trying to sound too stupid, you know, and he's trying not to sound too stupid back and [unk] is awkward. I mean, I didn't even lie to him. It was awkward. -I got off that flight and I felt like I had, you know, like I'm doing that flight for 10 hours. It was only about a 2-hour flight. -I was next to a guy that weighed probably about 250 pounds snoring and the guy next to me smelled really bad. And so I'm in the middle of these 2 guys and I'm leaning against the guy that's heavy because the guy smelled so bad he just drive me nuts. -Hi. Shelby Chrest. -I'm Don. -Don? -Nice to meet you. -Nice to meet you. -Scott. -Nice to meet you, Scott. -Nice to meet you too, man. -Really. -I caddied on the Tour. Jay Williamson. -Oh, you're- -Yeah. He's from Saint Louis, Missouri. -Oh, yeah. I definitely knew him. -So he's given you some time off then or what? -Yeah. -I always thought that when I got picked for the show that I would kinda check out my opponents. It's pretty hard to figure these guys out. -Ever done any 5-pin bowling? -No. -Okay. I was getting nervous. -No? -Okay. -'Cause it- well, that's what I do. I own a bowling alley and bowling alley rounds too. -You know, the guy just graduated from college. -It's a private school called Anderson University. It's in Indiana. -We're alike in a lot of ways because we love golf. -How's it going, guys? -Kinda knew we were supposed to go to Vegas and I see Ontario, CA and I'm like, I'm going to Canada. What the heck is that all about? -I'm Bart. -Bart, nice meeting you. Shelby. -Yeah. Shelby. -Scott. -Where are you from? What do you do? All that good stuff. -Well, what was the line [unk] over by now? -Three and a half. -Yeah? -I haven't gotten very far west ever. -So, I didn't wanna be first and kinda wanted to be the last. Sean won [unk], bald head. When the viewer's choice was gonna come in. All the guys have been, if we gotta stay out here, let's just goof on him. -Keep my fingers crossed about the [unk]. -How are you guys doing? -Good. How are you doing, man? -Sean. -Scott. -Scott. -Shelby. -So I didn't wanna be first and kinda wanted to be the last. It worked out perfect to kinda [unk]. Sean won [unk], bald head. -I traveled to [unk] but probably I was like 30 minutes late. -Okay. -Been doing the- I'll be a senior [unk] which is a University on Saint Louis. -I think the guy was like- driving [unk] which is good by [unk]. -Good. Oh yeah. -How's it going? Mike Foster. -Get down there. -Long Beach. -Well, I was first two over here. We're just the first two that came together on the flight. -I feel like I'm on a snack [unk] on it and I'm not. -You never [unk] on you. That's good- that's the one thing about it for sure. -I'm Sean. -Mike Foster. -Mike, good to meet you. -Sean. -Mike, Sean, Don. -Scott. -Shelby. -Where are you from? -I'm from [unk]. -Savannah, Georgia. -So you had a long flight? -Yeah. I got up about 3:30 this morning. -[unk] all right. -No, I was 6:30. -Oh, you were 6:30. Okay. -I was 6:30, yeah. -You're [unk], you know. So- -To be honest, it was different. -Hey. -Buddy. Hey, buddy. Good to see you. -These are the guys I gotta beat for the league. -You guys already know each other. -Yeah. -Well, we [unk] together. -Oh, okay. -He caddied on the PGA Tour and so did I. It was a profession? I mean- -No, I'm in a club for -Oh. -like a hundred years. Long time. -I was the waiter to the last supper. I've been around a long time. -Was gonna see [unk]. -Geez. You had a long trip [unk]. -I had to get up at 3:00 this morning. -Uh-oh. He's the winner. -Oh yeah. -I mean, I want to be their [unk] but I won, kicked the crap out of that though. -Where's the guy [unk]? -How are you doing? -And everyone's lifting up and, you know, everyone's doing the yahoo, saying who is he and all this. -So who's the oldest here? -Me, I'm sure. 44. -I've [unk] you can't beat me. [unk]. -It picked up really quick like friendly chatter, you know. So what your life story, you know? Oh so you have a girlfriend. So you have a wife. You have kids. Like, what's that like? And then just started shooting the- you know, shooting the- something that you say. -I gotta bring you a coffee cup. -Hi. John Turk. -What did you say your last name was? -P or K? -[unk]. Turk. -Yeah. I was in [unk]. I was in [unk] so -Okay. -I've been everywhere. -What was that year that you lived in [unk]? -[unk] right there. -No way. It's not- -Instantly, you wanna bond with everybody there, find out what's going on. -Size up the competition. -Let me- you know, who else [unk] and having a good time right now. -Things are gonna be a little different in the morning. -Yeah. -The over [unk]. -Don't look like golfers. Everybody [unk] golf release, you know. -I was kind of representing [unk] I think. -You're a [unk]? -You're first [unk]. -Yeah. I bought it and it's not even [unk]. -Why were we on Ontario, California? We're supposed to be on Las Vegas. What's going on? -I bought a Walkman and it didn't work. It didn't work with its skills. I don't have that kind of money. -I was the last guy that showed up and they were all like [unk] and I walk in, nobody's saying nothing. They didn't pay any attention at me, not even looking my way. Nothing. What's going on here? -When viewer's choice was gonna come in, all the guys banded together and even [unk] we all- We're gonna say, okay, let's just goof on him. Let's just not even look up on there's- no one get up, no one say anything. It's off. And here he comes in the door and no one moves. -Not- no one knows the guy so we- we can't play jokes on a guy I don't know so I felt bad. -Let's get along [unk] something. -That was how when he came in, everyone was gonna goof on him. I ruined [unk]. -I thought the guy's from Canada, man. -Right on Connecticut [unk]. -It was pretty good- pretty good, sure. They got him pretty good. -Thank you. -The ice breaker. -Jay, man. [unk]. -I don't know, you sure cheated. -Nice. -I'm telling you [unk]. -The sooner we leave, the sooner we get there. The later we leave, the longer we get there. -We're [unk]. -I don't know. -I saw a bus out there in front of the [unk]. -I'm thinking that something [unk] we're stopping maybe halfway or doing something. -All right. Jay, it's [unk]. -Find out what DVDs they got. They got [unk]. -All right, guys. Welcome to California. Fantastic. How are you? Matt Griesser. Nice to meet you. -Nice to meet you. -How are you? -Bart- -Congratulations. Huddle up, boys. Huddle up. Congratulations, man. -Uh-huh. -Look at that. -Big Break II. -Big Break II. -What's up? -Great. -How are you, guys? -[unk]. Hook up [unk] now. -If you don't know who I am, I'm Matt Griesser. I do a little show on the Golf Channel with Peter Jacobson and I am here to escort you to fabulous Las Vegas. -All right. -All right? Now, 'cause I'm an L.A. guy, they ask me to bring you out. I said I'd be happy to do it. I brought my fantastic-looking charter, the 1982 MCI. You gotta have one of these. It's seems they're deluxe, all right? So you guys ready to go? You ready to load up, head up to Vegas, get it going? All right. Let's get going. Sweet. -Vegas, baby. -What are you doing? -Ready to go to Vegas? -We're on our way to Vegas. They don't really know- they realized whatever was going on. This is kinda the beauty of Big Break II. Come on. -I saw the bus and I'm like, "What's gonna happen next?" -Is this the long way to Vegas? -Oh, you are making a detour. -Oh, my God. -The neighborhood he's driving in we're like [unk]. -We'd all compete. Don't know what's going- on there but I was trying to figure it out. I'm being quiet but I'm trying to figure it out. -For complete contestant bios, exclusive video, discussion boards and Big Break Merchandise, log on to the GolfChannel.com. -On our way to Vegas. Big Break II. We got the whole team here. -I saw the bus and I'm like, "What's gonna happen next?" -We're all confused. I don't know what's going on and everybody's trying to figure it out but they're being about trying to figure it out. -How recently did you guys know where you were off to for the Big Break II? -I don't know. Today. -Sean, he was from California. He's kind of [unk]. He's like, dude, this is like a 6-hour trip. I'm like, what? And then we passed Las Vegas where we're supposed to get off the expressway. -You missed the turn. -Where in the heck are we going? -So maybe we're not going right to Vegas. Something was weird. -Is this the long way to Vegas? -Oh, you are making a detour. -Oh my God. -The neighborhood he's driving in like we're in [unk]. So I think I made a comment like, you know, [unk] the mirage is literally a mirage. You know, we're in the wrong place. -My thoughts were that we'd taken a wrong turn somewhere and we were just going there. We're gonna turn around and go back the other way. -Then all of a sudden, we pull after this- to the air force base and then we drive in and all we see is buildings that [unk]. It was like we didn't know what to expect. -We are in deep trouble. Where are they taking us? It's just kind of scary. -All I see is these little Cessna planes. I [unk] I'm not giving them one of those planes. -I don't know- I don't know what they got planned but I ain't getting in one without a person to pilot on those Cessna. I ain't doing it. -And then one of the guys said, "Yeah. I see. I think there's a jet over there and I was like wow." And I figured we'd be going on a jet. That's pretty cool. -Wow. -Isn't it? -We're going on a real one. Net jet. -I got a shotgun. -Come on. Come on. -I felt a little more comfortable when I saw the jet. I was like we're flying in style. -And even then, they- you know it's just not that easy. Like there's gotta be something else involved. -Oh, we gotta make them fight. We gotta make them [unk]. -And then we saw the [unk]. You know, with the [unk] nothing for free. -Everybody here? This gentleman is our first challenge and you've already been on my wonderful MCI 82 Cruiser. Fantastic. But our friends at Net Jet have supplied this fantastic private bird, all right? Now, what we will be doing is attempting a 3-foot putt. All right? Each of you will have a turn. If you missed the putt, I'm not going by myself to Vegas. You're right back on the bus with me. If you make the putt, welcome to the private bird. -When we heard we gotta make it 3 foot, I was like I've got this. No big deal. I won't let a 3 foot to get in my way of a real jet engine. I've never been on one. Don't know if I'll ever get a chance to get on one. So make the putt. Get it over with. -And, I don't think you've ever had a chance to do this putt out on the tarmac on a nice little golf green [unk] and I'm pretty sweet on it. All right. Let me mix up these cards and then I'll let you guys each take one. -The challenge was tough. The wind was blowing about 35 miles an hour on this airstrip. Like it's a 3-footer, like- I don't, you know, 3 foot is not that big of a deal but then the wind is flying by the flag [unk] and so I was like, we're playing a little wind here, baby. -All right. Who has the ace? Who will be going first, gentleman? -All right. It's Scott. -I was sitting there and I get my card and I realized I got the ace and somebody goes, "Hey. What's ace?" -And then he goes, "Ace is low." And I'm like, oh man. This- and then I realized that I have to go first in this competition. -Deciding whether or not there's a break. I like that. -I don't get to see anybody hit the putt. I don't know if there's something weird, you know, on the green. I didn't know what was going on. -Oh, that's real cool, guys. -Let's tip off then. -Sitting off airplanes and trying to hit putts over here. -And he gets past the [unk]. He's past the [unk]. -He does it. -Nice. -There's the gentleman that's going on the plane. Come on up. Who's second? Come on up. -It was exciting 'cause of the heart pumping a little bit. You don't wanna gag the first challenge, you know. -Yes. -Two men enjoying the comforts so far. Although, remember, gentlemen, if we all make, we go back to the 4-foot line. -Oh no. -It was a short putt. That means it's only about 3 feet. I figured everybody would make it. -Mike has decided to join me. -Yeah. -Thank you for that, my friend. -I think I was just too excited. Had a little bit of adrenaline running and I wasn't disappointed that I missed. I just- I felt like I should have made it. -It seemed kind of easy really, the 3-footer. I mean, we all could have missed it and did- Mike did miss it but you don't wanna be the first one to lose a challenge. -Kip? -All right. -Not wasting any time going right in. -Is that the [unk] for? -I didn't want to be the first guy and I didn't wanna be the last guy so I drew number 5 so I figured, okay. That's good. Three foot putt, I mean, it's not a big deal, right? You wouldn't think, but then of course, you know, everybody's there and everybody's watching. -Land. -A bit of [unk] affected by all the contestants. I like that. It was all these pre-game chatter and it's gotten real flesh. -I looked at the bus and I looked at the jet and I said, I really would like to go on the jet. -[unk] is out. On the jet. -No. -On the jet. -[unk] close by. I'm like, oh our first barefoot [unk]. -[unk] that I missed before for some reason that you don't have that on the back of your mind that I'm gonna be the first guy that possibly missed it. -Yeah, baby. -Wow. Very different putting style. -A little unorthodox. -[unk] I'll take it. -I knew the nerves was gonna catch somebody. I didn't know who. I know it won't gonna be me being that I had number 8, you know. So I'm gonna see 7 other people putt just in case it's stupid, you know, something crazy happened. -Let's hear it for [unk]. -Very nice. Very nice. -Good shot. -Very nice. -Everybody's been out all day. Some of us have flown for 7 hours; some have only flown for 20 minutes so there's a little fatigue there. But, you know, if you missed this putt, it kinda look like- kinda like the [unk]. And if you make it, then you're a hero. -Yeah. A little bit of a Philly Mick turn in there. I like that. The beat with the beat was working. -Yes. -I didn't think it was gonna be tough. I thought the situation was gonna be tough, you know, having- I don't know how many people were there, how many cameras were on me, you know. You know, it's windy. I mean, how many times are you gonna hit a putt on an air force base like in a 30-mile-an-hour wind and then 20 cameras around you. -Gentlemen, I believe that's the full 10. I have my man, Mike and I on a big journey [unk] on the road. -Mike- -Congratulations. Head to your private bird and we'll get on the luxurious bus. -I felt bad for Mike because he might not ever, ever get a chance to ride on a jet and we all did. Even though he gets to spend, you know, 5 or 6 hours with Matt but still, I mean, Matt, jet. You know, if you- that allure gets a little higher, you know. -Yeah. That was a bus ride compared to a plane ride but that was, you know, that was minor compared to having to leave. -They must be invisible in that jet. -I'm sorry you're on the bus [unk] 6 hours. -It's not bad. -We should [unk] camper in the penthouse. I'd do that. -In the words of Shawn Carter a.k.a. Jay-z, this is big big [unk]. -The jet was bad, man. Rather that, you got the wood grain and- -Oh yeah. Welcome to the big time, baby. -We got the leather seats, we got couches in there, TV, DVD players. It's amazing. It's a whole other lifestyle. -I could get used to living like that very quickly. -This is a little [unk] than I thought it would be. -I thought [unk]. -Here's to the guys of Big Break I. I'll take you guys on a Learjet. -Hey, Mike. I'm sorry you're on the bus. We'll see in about 6 hours. -Bus? -We're the lucky ones. We get to see all the scenery that goes on the way with [unk]. -Positive thinking, Mike. I like that. We're the lucky ones. That's the way I'm thinking. -I'm sure you are. -Mike, why did you miss it? Right or left. We were [unk] remember. Do not miss it right or left, Mike. -He missed it on the right of it. -Mike, you're so big. I'm kidding. Don't kill me. -I'm thinking about how crammed and uncomfortable. They must be miserable in that jet. -To Mike. -To Mike. -To Mike. -To Mike. -We miss him [unk] so much. -Go have a beer [unk]. -I mean, come on, man. This is good [unk] right here. -I know [unk]. It's a long drive. -That [unk] bus. -Yeah. -[unk] I do. -It's slow. -That's golf. -Just have to- -Is that a coyote? -I think that's a wolf. -We were up in there so fast by the time we got to the [unk] take us [unk] to go get cars and go get some beverages. We were literally coming back down. It was a 36-minute ride to Vegas from Ontario, California so that was pretty cool. -Vegas, baby. -Welcome to Vegas. -I stepped off the plane and saw the big bus. I'm like, this is it. -Look at this, man. Is that [unk]? I wanna sit right here at the deck. -You got your [unk] out here? -No, he's [unk] right here. -Oh my gosh. -Poor Mikee. -Mikee, you might wanna just give it a couple of minutes before you go in there. -That [unk] is digital. -Yeah? -You do poker? -That casino is in McDonald's- they're everywhere. -Anywhere you go, man. -It's been quiet. -What's up? Is that squeezing you up? -Oh no. Not at all. -Okay. You let me know though 'cause I would. I got a whole inch. -Right before the Treasure Island, I was like, okay. This is gonna be nice. -I'm being [unk] like [unk] in front of all, you know, major hotels and there's cameras inside, cameras outside, people gathered. They think maybe rock stars are coming out. And yeah, I'm just with the golfers. So that's okay. We felt like rock stars. -Ninety-nine bottles of beer on the wall. Ninety-nine bottles of beer. It's lined up. Bottles should happen to fall, 98 bottles of beer on the wall. -I am Ricky. Welcome to TI. Are you guys doing okay? -How are you doing? -You guys had a good putt today? We're missing one, I see. -Yeah. -It's a long ride ahead, everybody. I know that. -Ninety-six bottles of beer on the wall. Sunset is breathtaking, isn't it? -Beautiful. -Nice little high clouds up there. -Yeah. Yeah. -It's gorgeous. -Look. See, they're not getting to see that. -No, they're already- -They're above it. -They're probably already there. -I'm gonna take you up to the- one of our- one of the penthouses to show your accommodations. We'll walk through the casino. -The whole casino just stopped what they're doing to look over and you hear them saying to each other, "Who are they? Who are they?" -I told them we were bowlers. -Anything you need, I'm there for you. Okay? -Going to the penthouse, man. -Right for the [unk]. -The best for you, guys. How about the [unk]? -This hotel right here is probably one of the finest facilities on the strip that you're going to enjoy. We wanna make sure you guys have a good time so let me take you guys down to the penthouse [unk] your journey. -Awesome. -We're okay so far, really. -I mean, all is good. That's great. -I think we're good. -I looked at Jay when we were coming down the hallway. I said, "So a year ago, you know, would you ever dream in a million years you'd be right here right now?" He was like, "Not in a million years." -Welcome to TI. -All the way from home. -Nice. -Wow. -Sweet. -[unk], baby. -He brings us upstairs to the penthouse and we walked and this place is laid out. -It's not bad. -You guys, we got Virtual Golf off the Pebble Beach. It's all in there. -It's just unbelievable. Look at the Big Break. -This is [unk], brother. -He might win. -Full of beer. -We could change the temperature. -It's like a boys scout camp in a penthouse. How good is that? -Whoa. -All right. [unk]. Wow. -Wow, look at that juice. -Well. We're doing good, aren't we, Mike? -Yeah. Looks like it. -Yeah. Bill's checking the oil and we're having a little overheating here. We're close to getting going again. We're making good time though. Aren't we, Mike? -Yeah. Well, it should be anytime. -We're gonna see that Vegas is the city that never sleeps. So- is that New York? -They're both. -Yes. -It's absolutely [unk] and got on putting green. [unk] on slot machines. -Oh, man. -Take any money out of it yet but we're trying. -We got the golf simulator. -Well, we've made it into Nevada over the state line. It's pretty exciting. Isn't it, Mike? -Sure it is. -Oh yeah, baby. -This is [unk]. Very nice [unk] just on the green. -This is awesome. -Big Break. -Well. I wonder what happened to the driver. He must have left. I think- Well, this is awkward. Maybe. Bill? -I had the strange feeling that somehow some of us ain't gonna be staying possibly here. Some of us could possibly be staying somewhere else. -They're gonna put us in a tent. I just know it. -Today, we're gonna have a pretty cool little contest. -Yeah. Yeah. Just a little road trip. Just a little road trip. That's how you made it, Mikee. We made it. -We made it. -Stopped at Buffaloville. -Yeah. -That was gorgeous. Breathtaking, Buffaloville. -We made it though. -And finally, the Island of Treasure. -Congratulations. Big Break II starts right now. Why don't you go that way? -Okay. -Get yourself [unk] checked in, all ready to go. -Over here [unk]. -Okay. I think. -Hey. -Party. -Big fella, how was your ride? -We missed you, big guy. What's up, man? -The guys just- -You all right? -They were all like oh we're sorry you didn't get to go with us but they've been like that since the start so it's kind of a nice feeling. I mean, even when I missed the bus, they all came over to the bus and said, "Oh. We're sorry, you know." And you know- honestly feel sincere that they're sincere about that, not just saying it to make you feel good. -We got- Look. Look. We got putting. We got- -I might need that. After I noticed that, -Yeah. -I think I could use it, man. -I had the strange feeling that somehow some of us ain't gonna be staying possibly here. Some of us could possibly be staying somewhere else. -People are saying, hey, they're gonna go up and show us this nice penthouse on the 36th floor just to kinda rub it in and then they're gonna take us all the way back down across the street to some [unk] hotel over here. -I kind of expected the worst and, you know, I was thinking cabin. I was thinking you guys are gonna put us on the desert on a golf course resort. -They're gonna put us in a tent. I just know it. -I don't think we're going too far from here. We're probably gonna stay, you know, at the penthouse. We thought it would be some [unk] I guess, and probably have a roommate. -Maybe we'll be across the- just across the room, you know, like across the hall. -[unk] is right here. -Here we are [unk], man. -All right. -All right, roommate. Hopefully, we'll [unk] sitting. -We got a [unk]. -Get out [unk]. -Can you believe this? -Dude, check it out. -Oh my God. -How [unk] is that? -[unk] right now [unk]. -Solid glasses, shirt. -I like the orange. I'm taking the orange. -Oh yeah. That's you. -Styling and profiling. -Are you okay with that [unk]? -I'm fine. Yeah. -I got busy on the shower. -Look at that [unk] rooms too. -Yeah. -Oh man. -Hi, gentlemen. -Hi. -How are you doing? -Guys. -Well, welcome to your first day, guys. Are you nervous? -Absolutely. -And before we go any further, I want to introduce you to my esteemed co-host, Rick Smith. -Hi, guys. Congratulations, guys. -Rick is here for advice, technical support, any questions about the game, obviously, direct toward him. -This year, you're playing for 4 Nationwide Tours exemptions. That's number one. Number 2, Nationwide has agreed to give the winner $10,000. -Wow. -And they are going to help you to manage that money. Now, we're in Las Vegas so whoever wins has to get out of town right away. -[unk] win. -Put it in the mail. -Rick, did you say Las Vegas or Loss Wages? -Loss Wages. And then, third, Ford is giving you, not the least, giving you a Ford Five Hundred. It's a new car that's awesome. Giant trunk. You can put 8 sets of clubs in it and it's gonna be fantastic. I look at your profiles and it looks like you guys can really play. And obviously, if you're gonna have a chance of making the big tour, the Nationwide Tour is the ticket and, you know, you get 4 exemptions and you play well enough, you never know. So I think it's tremendous that Nationwide's done that. It's given you that opportunity and I know that's why you're here. So, you know, good luck to all of you. Now, today, we have a little different gig. Nobody has to go home. -All right. -Yeah. -The penthouse [unk]. -Yeah. -But, there is a great challenge. Are you ready to go? -All right. -Absolutely. Let's go. -Let's do it. -It's basically a 300-yard closest to the pin contest. -That's a good shot. -Look at this. -First 5 swings, Rick Smith elbows me and goes, "You guys all hit it like this?" I'm like, "It's pretty good, huh?" -You see that beautiful, beautiful black Ford Five Hundred down at the end? -Yes, we do. -Guess what? You have about 300 yards. Whoever hits it closest to the pin- We're gonna measure it off. If you make the next shot, you win the car. -How that- -Beautiful. -You ready? -Each contestant will hit a drive towards the green of this short par 4. The one player whose ball ends up closest to the pin will get a chance to hole his second shot and win the Ford Five Hundred. -You get up and down from 300 yards for that car. So you have got to be kidding me. We drew cards and I drew the ace and I'm like oh great. -Looking good. All right. -And I'm like, "Okay. We're in Vegas. There's gotta be light or [unk]. I think it's gonna be 3-wood." -This thing is looking so good. -It was nice. -It's up here. It's up here. -Oh, look at this. -He probably [unk]. -Now, that's- -It's a good start. -Yeah. -Wow. Wow. -Good start. Good start. -That's a great shot. That's a great shot. -23 feet, 2-1/4 inches. -Wow. -23 feet. -Good shot. -Pulling off any golf that will have to pull one off. It's just a great feeling. Whether it's the $10 from your buddies and [unk] shot or something like that. -Next up. -My turn comes up and I'm thinking I should go back and get my 3-wood and never did. And, I pulled up my driver [unk] out. -You know, he's just absolutely [unk]. -It's out here like that. -I think that's an orbit. -That was large. -Pretty good. Wow. Pretty good. -Great, man. -The shot was good. I hit it solid. It was great, you know, [unk]. It was about 50 yards to the hole [unk]. -Let's get number 3. -That's a good shot. Look at this. -I hit a driver. I actually hit it on the other line. I just hit long. -I'm hitting just past the pin and [unk]. -Beautiful. -So who's number 4? -I hit a shot that I wanted to hit right before I got into the ball, I kind changed it up. -That's just hooking a little bit. A little left to the green. -It was just a non [unk] golfing, you know, and I just didn't have the [unk] finalized in here. -All right, Mike, you know- -Redeeming himself today, ladies and gentlemen. -No putts. -I hit a driver. I don't carry a 3-wood. I carry a 1-iron on [unk] so I had to hit a driver. I just tried to cut it into the wind and hold it. -Did it get over the- Did it get over the bunker? -I hit it exactly the way I was trying to. The wind didn't bring it back at all. I think I had the right club. I just didn't hit it quite a lot to get it in- close enough. -Nice, Mikee. Mikee boy. -All right, Kip. -Okay, Kip. -Decided to hit a 3-wood and I didn't feel like I needed to but it either. I almost hit my 2-iron. -Oh, does this look good. -[unk] swing there. -He's gotta carry a little more. Oh, look at this shot. -Oh yeah, baby. -Nice- You know what? I saw- that's a great shot. -Yeah. -First 5 swings, Rick Smith elbows me and goes, "You guys all hit it like this?" I'm like, "It's pretty good, huh?" -I would think measurement is coming on that one. -Measurement 25 feet, 9 inches. -25. -Was it? -Yeah. -Oh my God. -That's 2 feet away. -Yeah, I was 2 feet away from having a shot at the [unk] truck or car, whatever you call it. It's cool. It's still great but the- -I don't know if I'm [unk] off. -You guys are good. -I saw 3-wood was going long so I'm thinking, you know, I hit 5-wood, that's like a 4 [unk] 5-wood. It goes about 235 so I'm thinking if I can hit this up in the air, get it higher and near it to carry, that would be perfect. -You know, it just stopped. -God, that was close. If I just could have got a bounce. -David's up. -I'm sitting on my driver going on, man, this is too much but I don't wanna have to try to carry 3-wood to 87. -Oh, look. Wait. -You know what though look- It's actually picking up. It was a nice pick. Well cut, [unk] hitting back. Actually, that's a good shot. What do we got? Two left? -I drew the 9th slot. It's actually [unk]. -See, that's normal golf right there [unk]. -It's in the pool. -Right in the pool. -It's in the pool. -I think it's in the restroom. -It's in the pool. -It's in the restroom over there. -[unk] on that one. -I was embarrassed though. That was a good putter. I'm good if I had to play it from over there. -Guys, we have the last player. Jay, you have a chance -Yeah. -to get it inside the par. -Bart here like 23 feet and that's a high standing [unk]. -Go, viewer's choice. -Oh, VC. -So I got the drivers and 3-wood over. I just couldn't imagine myself hitting it, carrying a 2-iron yards 300 yards -Oh my goodness. -so I pulled the 3-wood. -Bart. Bart. Bart. Bart. How do you feel? Bart? Oh, you killed it. -That was nice, Jay. -That was a heck of a shot, Jay. -Yeah. -That was unbelievable. That's a great shot. Imagine hitting 2-iron -No. -at 300 yards. -No. -Hit it right on the stick but I was just about 10 yards around. -See that Ford Five Hundred down again? -I'm not gonna look at it. I'm just working on the putt. I'm just working on the putt. -You haven't read it yet though, right? Been thinking about it? -I'm getting ready right now. -All right. You ready to go? -I'm ready to rock. -I got the [unk] putting on yet. -A little uphill, right to left. [unk] is out. -To be able to play 4 events on the Nationwide Tour would give me an opportunity that I probably wouldn't normally be given. -The chance to get 4 starts on the Nationwide is very important to me. I mean, it would be my true big break. -There's gotta be 9 losers and 1 winner. -I think the level of the game is gonna be stacked up. -I think it's gonna be a good challenge. I think you got 10 players that are gonna hit the golf ball. -I'm not looking at it as going in I gotta beat this guy; I gotta beat that guy. I gotta beat the competitions. -It would give me a chance to chase my dream one more time. This is all anybody could ever ask for. -For the most part, all of us have had the same dreams our whole life. -In my stage of life, if you have a goal, I'm- the clock's running. Time is running out. -I'm 35 years old and I have a wife and child. This is my whole life. This could make or break me right here. -It's hard to fathom, you know. You go out and what you do determines the rest of your life. -How are you feeling, Bart? -Feeling pretty good. -You know, it's really- It can't be a bad situation. -You know, I don't think it is. -You're 23 feet. You have a chance to win this beautiful new Ford Five Hundred. And, guys, by the way, while you guys are over there watching and cheerleading- You see this logo? The Ford logo, anytime it's on a pin, you got a chance to win a car, okay, so you wanna get used to seeing this and I'm gonna replace this because it's time. -Rick gave us a clue as to what the Skill Challenge is gonna be 'cause he referred to Mikee's bus trip. He said it was a long drive. So we just want to [unk] certain driver. I didn't go to the putting green so that was like, oh my- I gotta hit a putt. And greens I haven't putted on yet. -A little uphill. Right to left. Wind is helping. -The surrounding, you know, you got mountains around and that affects [unk] break and all that stuff so I'm trying to read this putt and get a feel for something- I've got no idea what the speed is gonna be. -All right. -It bounced a little bit. -Good job, Bart. -I just didn't play enough break. Played it out a little bit -Right on. -and then it kinda hopped a little bit and then the wind just pushed it, pushed it, pushed it. I'm like, "Sorry, honey. No car." -First shot. First shot at that. -Nobody's eliminated today. Pretty great day. -Yeah. -Awesome day. You guys did really well. -You guys did some great shots in there. -Very, very well. -We had a great time so congratulations for hitting, you know, all you guys did great shots in here. So good going, guys. Good day. Good day. -Good job -Okay. -and we'll see you next show -There we go. -and someone gets eliminated. -Big Break II. -We have to [unk] now. -Next time on the Big Break II. The honeymoon is over. Someone is gonna be eliminated. -All of a sudden, the [unk]. Guess what? Somebody's going home. -You need to do it or go home and nobody wants to be the first to go home. -We went up to his room and I'm thinking, "What the heck is going on?" -I was like, "Oh, man. I know what's gonna happen next." -On the course, they encounter their first obstacle. -You see this huge structure. I'm thinking, "Are we going over that thing? Are we going under that thing? Are we going around that?" I mean, you don't- you have to get on this thing. -Things begin to get personal in a heated Mulligan Challenge. -Kinda ticking on me a little bit. -Donny. Still have to do it, Donny. -I'm not worried about it. I can hit it anyways. -I thought that was- He had some audacity and some nerve to say that. -The tension becomes unbearable when the guys face elimination. -When we did the Elimination Challenge, I mean, you could hear a pin drop. Somebody's going home. -You know, [unk] see Vegas going down the drain and see Nationwide is actually going down the drain. All that went in my mind. -Very nervous. Very, very nervous. [unk] nervous playing my golf. -One is sent packing. The others move on next week on the Big Break II. -This is unbelievable. -I might not go home at all.
