-Previously on the Big Break VII. -The reunion. -Come on. -I can't accept losing to somebody that brags about it. -Now Don you have kept that Dick's Sporting Goods 5-thousand-dollar check. -I gave it the old college try but it wasn't good enough and that's the way it goes on Big Break. -Here's to Ash, craziest girl for men at another show so much fun, all the guys mile. -Yes. -Laura kept everything loose. She liked to talk a little bit. She liked to tell jokes. -She was a heck of a competitor, man. -She had a lot to lose. She was made the focus. I talked to you that before. -You've all been working on Donny behind the scenes you know telling them Donny you better show some backbone. -You're gonna trade him or get out of jail free pass today Don. -I might do it. -Because we want him to you know not cash that thing in. We wanna play eliminations with as many people as possible. -Pretty much didn't sleep very well all night. I was tossing and turning the whole time. Everything going through my head I couldn't keep my brain still. I don't think anybody ever on any show has ever made it all the way to the finals without having to go to the eliminations so-- -Start straightening out. -So would you guys like to go to bed and we'll just take the immunity. -Yes. -Well, good night guys. That's fine. -I'll be happy to start that one. -I'm okay. I'm good. I am now the only girl left in this competition. I don't think they truly understand how good I am and I'm so excited to go out and play my best and I plan on giving every single one of those men a run for their money. -The competition is down to 5 but 1 competitor has a clear advantage over the rest. Don Donatello holds the 5-thousand-dollar ultimate immunity from Dick's Sporting Goods. He can cash it in to gain immunity from an elimination challenge but this is the last episode in which he can use it. So 1 of 3 things can happen. If Don survives the challenges in this episode without using the ultimate immunity, he'll take home 5 thousand dollars cash. If Don uses it to gain immunity, he'll lose the money but he'll be safe and into the final 4. If Don doesn't use that ultimate immunity and loses in the elimination challenge, he'll lose the cash and even worse he'll be going home. -It's not gonna be easy this morning because I know I'm gonna be a little bit nervous knowing that you know this is the last day I can cash it in and just go out and try to see if I can perform the way I know I can. -He needs the money more because of his bad financial shape so to speak. So I'm thinking the pressure is on him. -If it was me now going to elimination I would be handing over the check and saying for me on to the next show. -I think Don thinks he's better than the top of us down here so I think he'll try to hold on to it. -If he ever didn't cash it in and got eliminated he'd climb that building and go soaring. -Good morning everyone. Good to see you, the 5 of you. Now this morning what we have for you is one of the classic challenges of Big Break. We love it. We're gonna go a little playground on you this morning. -And reminiscent of a couple of past Big Breaks, we're gonna bring back a game similar to the basketball game horse break. You'll each get to choose a location. Whoever is closest to the hole not only avoids getting a letter but you get to assign a letter. So in the end the player that avoids spelling out break will win the challenge, and not only win the challenge but the immunity. So Don this is huge for you. If you win this immunity challenge you can take that 5-thousand-dollar check from Dick's Sporting Goods, put it in the bank, it's good. -Don, wait. There's more. If you win the immunity challenge here by virtue of the point standings overall in the Chrysler immunity challenge, you will win the 2007 Chrysler Aspen, Chrysler's first full-sized SUV if you win this. If Ashley gains immunity here, she's still alive and in the hunt for that 2007 Aspen. -She has a chance to win the car. -Yes. -Which puts a little more pressure on me. -Even if we played and he didn't win and I didn't win, he would get the car no matter what. -So the odds are with you my man. -So somebody else is feeling some pressure. -Yes. -Alright, good. At least I'm not the only one. -Don if by the end of the day you're forced to cash in that check to stay alive in the elimination challenge, that check will float over to the next show and the first challenge there and that's where it will be up for grabs to anyone who wins that particular challenge. So what we're gonna do is take a look at the lay of the land here on number 8, the Watson Independence course, pick up some spots where you think you can make a shot and other people can't and then we're gonna play break. -I wanted to get the immunity no matter what and I know all the other guys wanted me to get the immunity they want to continue to play for that car. -Everybody was gonna hit at Don because to keep it alive. -Behind the scenes we gotta do what's best for us. -I'm going after Don because I mean I want a shot at that 5 Gs. -If they can get me knocked out then she's got a chance. -Alright, gang. We had a random draw. Ashley, you are gonna be first. -I wanted to give everyone a challenge. I wanted the immunity to be earned. I've been hitting 100-yard bunker shots I think that's absolutely perfect. I had my pitching wedge and I was putting the ball back in my stance. Sounded like a good idea until it flew over the green. -Wow. Nobody would expect a woman to pick a bunker shot. I mean that's a hard shot. -I just took gap wedge and I was just trying to hit it solid and I just caught a little bit thin. -We were 2 for 2 or shall we say over 2. -What is your least favorite shot to hit in the hole? -Probably that one out of the fairway bunker. -My plan was to take a 54, choke down on it a little bit. I hit it exactly what I wanted to right at the flag. That first golf shot. -That is a golf shot. -Good shot. -He's so nervous he can't believe that today. -Okay. So 19 feet 11 inches. -We got a target to shoot for. -What I wanted to do was take the 60 and set it up, kind of hid the face a little bit. Short. I feel like a Chili Choc McMahon. -They all get out and spank it leaving me wide open. -I got a pitching wedge in my hand. -Just awful. Awful start for me today. -I don't think that's inside 20. -So Don Donatello is holding the cards right now. -I have a feeling I knew he's gonna give the letters too but-- -Yes. -Let's find out. -Okay. -Don got over it and I'd probably shot it close. Now I guess the game is on. -Now it's war. -He has his head down. He's not even watching anybody else. -Don, congrats. You handed out Bs to everyone but now there's 1 more order of business. -Who's it gonna be if we have to ask? -It wasn't the hardest decision but I really like to be rolling down that road in that Chrysler so the Rs are gonna go to the end down there. -Shocking. -Absolutely. -Now I guess the game is on. -Now it's war. -Alright. So Mike, Tommy, Dave, you have Bs. Ashley with a B-R. We're now at Mike's location. What have you chosen for the crew? -By almost 70-yard shot over the bunker, green slope a little bit away. -Really not all that difficult. I mean somebody's gonna hit it in there close. -I just caught a little more flush than I wanted and a little grass between and it kind of almost flew so I knew it was gonna be a little long. -He left a window open. -Yes, he did. -Don got over it and you know he hit the shot and I probably choked. -It hits on the green and it rolls up there and it's like 6 feet 11 inches. -If I could win at least 2 of the challenges, I was pretty much guaranteed to get that immunity. If he's gonna hit it 6 feet 11 inches, I gotta close him out. That's a challenging shot. I kind of like challenging shots. -He's tight. -Go ahead. -Yes, sir. -Stop. Stop. -Yes, I was trying to jump and down because I just was hoping that it would stop so we're close to the hole inside of 6 feet 11 inches. -Did you hear that cheerleaders with Tommy on that? -Go ahead. -Yes sir. -Could figure that they're not gonna get it tight and then whey want Don to be the finest. -Absolutely. -3 feet 1 inch. -Wow. What a great shot. -Very nice. -I'm feeling really good now because I just closed him out. I really didn't feel Ashley or David would close me out. -Thank you Tommy for this and Steph. -All I'm telling myself is get to my finish position, just fall the way through it and I go. -Oh my God. It's just hard to believe. -I guaranteed he was feeling it because he's hit from 2 locations and he's hit 2 terrible shots. I mean just playing awful. -Now for Ashley this low frequent circle right around that pin. -I used my 60-degree wedge and put the ball in the back of my stance just a tiny little groove popped. -Good shot. -It's ugly. -Tommy Gainey will hand out the letters. -Throw it on Don. Absolutely. I definitely reminded Tommy. You know Jeez all we gotta do is make sure Don doesn't win this and keep things alive for everybody. -So Tommy, great shot at that last location. What's it gonna be, big man? -I hate to do it but I'm gonna have to give it to double D. I'm looking at the 5 Gs from Dick's Sporting Goods, man. I like to have a shot at it. -Well, Don this is your location so revenge is sweet. -Yes. -What kind of shot you got for us? -I've got a little shot where you have to keep it under this branch probably from about 70 yards. I was trying to hit it low, trying to take a 60, trap it a little bit. I hit it pretty good right at the flag stick. Sit. And it hit into the slope short, spun back a little bit. -I think I better get a fishing rod. -I think I was what, 23 feet from the hole. -23 feet 6 and 1/2 inches. -I knew that it was a good shot but I knew that it could be beat. -So that gave me a lot of life out there. After I just gave him another letter, the door is wide open for me to hit it close again. -I chose a 6-degree wedge. Right there. I carried it on top of the slope and just started rolling to the back of the green. -So Donatello is still leans with just about 23 feet. -My favorite shot in the world is a low right to left. I was looking for my chopstick when I did that shot. -I just kind of stuck it right in the ground and had a spin on it and didn't stop it didn't skip at all. -25 feet 9 inches. -Ashley at this point alive in the overall Chrysler immunity challenge. She can really spoil Don's day. -And she knows he's the man to catch right now. -Yes. -And you want it keep it low to get it under the tree and so I had about 50 feet of green and again I put it in the back of my stance and I didn't need to be that aggressive with me swinging and I just hit it over. -Damn it Ashley. -This is the last opportunity for someone to slow down the Donatello Express. -He's got his head down and he's not even watching anybody else because he's like if somebody's gonna beat him and the world's gonna end tomorrow. I just wanna hit a good shot. I hadn't hit one yet. And I still had him one after this. -I don't know it's not that far. -I lined it all the way on the top 2 and he goes all the way to the back over the green. -Darn. -Don wins. Show your car brother. -It ain't over. -I have this. -Donnie and I love him but mathematically he's not as inclined as some people. -Good shot, Don. -Thanks. -Good shot. -I hate his smile. Obviously you know I'm getting the letter so I'm out which means he has won the car and he's like moping and complaining. -He didn't realize that he just won the car. -No. -You better, it's over. Duh. -I still hadn't hit me. It was kind of like I was like in la la land. -Don, congratulations. -Man. -You don't want it yet? -I'll help you with the math. -I'm not good at math. -Donnie got through algebra. -Awesome feeling. I mean I had tears coming in my eyes. -Don, what's it gonna be? -It's gonna have to be Ashley. -Alright, Ashley you'll pick up A-K. -I'm shocked now. -She's out and that means Don Donatello you've won a 2007 Chrysler Aspen. Congratulations. -Thank you. -Congratulations. -I hadn't had a new car in 15 years. I'm keeping my wife a new car and I keep taking hers so this means a lot. I'm gonna put the Golf Channel right on the back bumper I think. It means a lot. I don't know if I can afford taxes but it means a lot. -Find something to worry about. -Hey look. Here's 60 thousand dollars but I got a splinter. -Listen, we have a lot more to play for here. This immunity is still up for grabs. -This Big Break challenge has been presented by Chrysler. Chrysler, inspiration comes standard. -We have a lot more to play for here. This immunity is still up for grabs alright? Ashley will be steeping up. Don, B-R for you. Tommy, B-R for you and B-R-E for both of you, Mike and Dave. -Tommy, it's yours. Tell us what you have in store. -Well I've got kind of like a side hill hard chip shot here and I was thinking you know I kind of like this shot. It's just like that 75-yard shot I hit except it's a lot closer. So all I have to do is just flub it up there and just let it roll right to the hole. -Oh, I checked. The overthinking process, that's what happened with me on that shot. -I had chosen my club before him but that just confirms that the 54 was the way to go, not a 60 and you have that much loft already when you put a 60 down, the 60 becomes like a 70 or an 80. And I finally hit a normal shot from 80 which was just the highest so far. -Good shot, Dave. -Thanks. -6 feet 10 inches. -That's good, but there's still some room. -Everybody still shooting for Don and we're trying to get that 5 thousand at a spot. -I didn't quite hit it solid enough. It got a little fluffy and it just hit, got me another 8-1/2 feet or something. -You know talk about drama, Don Donatello has the last shot. He knows exactly what he needs. -And I'm sure Don is looking as shocked because he's been given pressure. He's gonna have such [unk] -I just told myself just trust yourself, just throw it up in the air and try to hit it within 3 or 4 feet of the hole and you're gonna win. Threw it up in the air, landed a couple of yards short of the hole, instead of stopping, it released. -Boy, it's gonna be close. Come on. -7 feet 8 inches. -Well. -So Dave walks away with it at this 4th location so some life left. -I knew right then and there well who is gonna get the letter. -Dave you picked up a win here at this location and now it's getting very, very interesting because you'll have to assign that extra letter. -I'm gonna keep the money available for my boys and my girl Ashley. I'm gonna give it to Don. -So Don will now move to B-R-E-A. -I don't understand why I think I'm gonna use it. I might just let it just go keep it and go to elimination. -Doubtful. -That's tough. -Doubtful. -Very doubtful. -Mike and Don are both have B-R-E-A and then Tommy and Dave, you're B-R-E. -Well Dave this is your location. What do you have for us? -My favorite thing, putting. And the whole world changed right then for me because all I know if I can hit my putt the best, I'm done for the whole day. -Don and Mike, you guys have to win this location to force another, but for Tommy and Dave, you win here and you win the immunity. You're safe and on to the next show in the final 4 I might add. -I spent 10 minutes reading that putt and that's all I did, was read the putt. This is my three quarters of an inch right and on. -He knew what he was doing. -You gotta hand it to him. I mean he went with his strength and that's what you gotta do. -Did you think anybody was gonna beat you on the putting thing? -Not after I hit, no. -He left you only 1 option. You either made it or you're done. -Hit it. -I might leave it short. -No, never got there. -Short, so Mike's out. -My read on the putt was about 2 or 3 cups out on the left side. -I knew all I needed to do was get it there. -Very demoralizing, missing it low and left. Very frustrating. -We now have Ashley might be heading down there, will be putting to the elimination challenge. What we don't know is whether if Tommy can make this putt it's either him or Dave. -Right. -Joining the rest of that crew. -The last shot, I was thinking well you know I got a chance here. I was just gonna see what I can do with it. I got it dead in the jar leave it short, but the worst thing was I didn't have anything to lose. -They handed me my day off. It may come back to haunt him leaving those putts short and giving me a free run. -Just to make it official now, let's hand out those letters. What's it gonna be? -Well Mike and Don get their K for not winning, Tommy gets his A so he's 1 away. I've gotta give it to Tommy to get him to K to take the afternoon off. -Well congratulations. You won that immunity and now you have got yourself a spot in the final 4 of Big Break VII. -He's the last person I expected to win that one. -Without question, he's gotten lucky a few times and that's what it takes. -And Dave getting through. I mean that's huge. He's probably the weakest player so somebody's going home. It's pretty good now. -For the rest of you, Don, Tommy, Mike, and Ashley, we're off to the elimination challenge. Now Don you have a decision to make. Will you or will you not cash in that check? Think about it. We'll find out at the challenge. -Big Break merchandise plus the complete series on DVD now available at GolfChannel.com. -It's elimination. This is my time to be. -The entire show I've been really relaxed. Yes, I feel fine. -Do I take that risk to be eliminated? That's the question that it's gonna be going through my head and I don't know. We'll see when the challenge comes. -If I was him, there will be no question. -I say here you go Vince and Steph, you can have this now. -He just won the car. He's gotta cash it in and give himself a great chance to get in the finals. -Wow. Got too much pride. -He's too cocky not too play. -I mean he's scared that everybody's gonna think he's a chicken and he's just trying to worm his way out of it. -Damn if I do and damn if I don't kind of scenario. -Now we're in the elimination challenge and we're gathered here on the 5th green at the Watson Independence course and we have a special guest with us. Now all of you have had outstanding amateur careers and this man is enjoying his. Please welcome the 2006 Golf Channel Amateur Tour champion, Mr. Jeff Hunter is with us. -How are you doing? -Now Jeff is gonna be along and be an observer and really a commentator along with Stephanie and I for the first part of the 2-stage elimination challenge. -In this 1st stage, Jeff actually helped us demonstrate it. You'll have a series of 9 putts. You'll start at the 1st location and continue through the series until you miss. The player that makes the most putts will be safe and on to the next show. -Now the 2nd stage for those who do not get safety here, we will take you to the par 3, 7th on the Watson Independence course. You'll play that twice. You'll play it from the forward tees and also play it back, add up the scores, highest score is off the show. -Now as promised, Don you have a big decision to make here. You have that check and you, do you wanna touch it? There it is. You can either cash that in, give it to us, hand it over, that 5-thousand-dollar check from Dick's Sporting Goods or you can keep it in your pocket and participate in this elimination challenge. What's it gonna be? -Part of me wanted to just turn in the money and not participate, a big part of me wanted to play and perform. -But once you had them play them in the final 4, you know, like give up the money. -Because I worry about what people think about how I'm a jerk and idiot. -I think he's too worried about what everybody else thinks of him. I'm not worried about what he should do. Let's see what the world thinks of me. -I know I discussed everything with my wife and she's not here. I'm gonna have to take one of these 3 or one of these 4 on somewhere down the line here so I'm in. I'm keeping the money. -Atta boy. -I'm gonna show I have guts. -Alright. -Atta boy. -We thought you might say that. -As soon as he said that, all the pressure was on him. -What am I trying to prove to someone for 5 grand when I can win another 40 or 50 grand by competing? -We had a random draw to determine the order. Mike, you're gonna start us off. -A foot plate, that's still nerve-racking. It really-- it's amazing how many weird thoughts can come into your head at that moment in time. -And Jeff what kind of routine do you follow when you're putting? -I have a line that I put in my ball and so once I got the read down and I had the ball to where I wanna hit it and then so then the lines not in my mind anymore, then I get over the ball taking up the practice strokes I know they can go straight because in my mind are already set up. -I don't think anybody misses 1st 2 or 3. -Hit that putt right dead center, felt pretty good and nervous, but I felt really good. -When you know you gotta make a putt, that hole gets smaller. -Yes, that was certainly a more aggressive stroke than that previous location. -I just wanna be confident and aggressive with my stroke and putting back to the hole. -And that's time to climb up that hill as we did in the 4th location. What are we looking at Jeff? -This is he's gonna break left and it's outside the hole. -Go. -Wow. -We have our first miss. -I thought I hit it pretty good and it just broke off to left and I missed and you know at that moment I felt pretty distraught but I also knew that I had another chance at the par 3 and I could still be okay. -It's inside that putt. I'm pretty sure of it. -But I'm first. I pulled it just a touch. -Man, I knew as soon as it left the putter, the only way it was going in was luck. -And then there were 2. -Started to feel a little better but Ashley still gotta make it. She's a great putter. -I just reminded myself to stay smooth with my putter and it went in. -Nice putt, Ash. -Thank you. -So the pressure is now on Tommy Two Gloves. Ever seen that before? -Yes. Not that color. -Good putt, Tommy. -Now it is a duel. -You know I'm thinking it's between me and her now. So we go on to 6th. She's putting first. -You know when I read my putt, I told myself the left edge and I was aggressive with my putt. I hit a good putt. It just didn't go in. -This is it for Tommy Gainey. If he makes this putt, he is safe and his day is done. -The only reason it didn't go in is she hit a 2-putt. So I got a little read off that. -He's missing it. He makes a lot of pressure putts. -Good job, Tommy. -Good, Tommy. -I'm safe. They're going at it. I'm in good shape. That's all I care about. Much is gonna be a lot better now. -Ashley, Mike, and Don head to the 2nd stage of the elimination challenge. It's gonna be good. -Yes. Jeff, thanks for being with us. -Thank you. Great being here. -187 yard dead into the wind, don't do anything stupid. -Oh, game is on. -This Big Break challenge has been presented by Avis. Avis, we try harder. -Well, we have reached the final stage of the elimination challenge. It takes us to number 7 on the Watson Independence course. All of you had a chance to play your way safe and avoid this particular aspect of the elimination challenge. Only 2 did, Dave and Tommy. So good job by you, guys. And Don, you had a chance to buy your way free and clear if you redeem that 5-thousand-dollar check from Dick's Sporting Goods, but now that check and your survival on the show are both on the line. -You'll be playing the par 3, 7th not just once but twice from 2 different sets of tees. Now in the end the player with the highest cumulative score will be eliminated. -Ashley, you have the tee. You lead us out. -I pretty much told myself before that I was gonna go out there and I was gonna fight. I wanted to obviously go in there and go birdie-birdie and be done for the day. -Wow. -Snap, pull, yank, hooked it left into the bunker. -That's a tough bunker shot. It runs so fast to wait from her. She's a good bunker play. -187 yards dead into the wind, probably about 10-mile-an-hour wind. All I needed to do was to put it in the middle of the green and don't do anything stupid. -Get up. -Landed on the green and just kind of trickled off into the fringe. -Let's tee it up. -Hey, let me tell you. I get lucky. How about this putt over the hill? No gimmie, no sir. -This is one of my strengths, iron play. I mean I'm comfortable. It's gonna take me a little 4-iron. -Just trying to stay solid and I hit a really good 4-iron. Perfect. I wasn't-- I'd deal the situation. -So Mike, the only to find the green. Here we go. -Well, I knew it was down grain and it was downhill and one that landed about 12 yards on to the green and just let it roll out. -Good shot. -That is brilliant. -That is a great shot. -Yes. -Great play, Ashley. -Tough putt. -Thank you. I hit a great shot. -I had a really tough putt where I had big huge slope and then the green sloping away. -Get up, Don. -It bounced 3 feet probably, maybe a little bit longer. -Oh I'm in the driver's seat. I mean I got a chance to make birdie. Now and neither they're gonna make birdie. I'm gonna land this in. I'm gonna birdie this hole. I'm going to take charge of this match. -Just impressive, overaggressive. -I would think it was gonna be dead straight but I talked himself into the fact that it was gonna have to break left. It was a straight putt. It stayed on that right edge all the way as it you know rolled right past the hole. -Tough bogey. -He's now in the position to wait and see. Mike unfortunately made his par that much more difficult. He's now above the hole. This has a lot of break to it from right to left. -Now I'm making 4. This is ridiculous. I had let Ashley back in the match with me. -So I'm thinking Don's gonna make his. He's gonna be ahead of us. He's gonna be in the driver's seat. -Thanks. -Good putt. -Oh game's on. -Okay so after the first time around 2 bogeys and a par and guess who has the par? -Double D and now let's get to the second playing of the 7th hole. -And I'm looking at him like what is he doing. -Now he just wants-- -Raise you. -That is a bad decision. -He's gotta be thinking about that 5 thousand-dollar. -The winner of the Big Break VII will receive a prize package which includes a tournament exemption into the Nationwide, LPGA, or Champions Tour. Ginn Resorts will present the champion with 50 thousand dollars in cash and prizes including Ginn Resort lodging and hospitality. Adams Golf will provide an endorsement contract which includes 10 thousand dollars in cash to keep them on top of their game. Dick's Sporting Goods will also award the winner with a 10-thousand-dollar shopping spree in the form of a gift card. On top of the 70 thousand dollars in cash and prizes, the champion of the Big Break VII will drive away in an all-new 2007 Chrysler Aspen, Chrysler's first full-sized SUV. -We'll move to our 2nd set of tees. Ashley will be playing from about 189 yards and the guys are back to 213. -They were gonna have to hit spectacular shots to beat me. It was mine to lose. All I had to do was play smart. -Get left. -Oh God. -He is in the waste bunker. The only place you couldn't go in a million years. -Can't believe he did that. He brought me and Ashley right back in. -He had a 1-shot lead going into the last hole in the elimination. I think anyone's gonna get a little anxious at that moment in time. I was on the tee and I was like okay, should I put it in the back of my stance or should I just put it the ball in the front of my stance. Decided to hit my 3-hybrid and I pretty much damn near shanked it. It was God awful. It was just disgusting. -She's in the waste bunker down there. -Big Mike can make a par and maybe win this thing. -She hit an awful shot. Off, she hit right an ounce. I proceed I'll do a whole lot better. -Have you seen it? -It's right at the flag, a little high. -Standing short class. -I ended up not in the waste here though but in the collection area. -Alright. Well Mike looks like he has the easiest of the 3. Let's check out the rise. -This is when I really started tying myself to not cry when you get eliminated. You know but at the same time I was standing there and I was like my God. Like you're handing it over to them. I was gonna have a really good shot. Caught it thick and it hit the top of the hill and rolled all the way back down and it's rolling and I'm saying please stop. -Don Donatello free ride to just hit it up here. -Yes. -I still had a 1-shot lead and I could still make 4 over there. That's what was really going through my mind. Her shot actually made me play too conservative and too safe. -I'm thinking he's just gonna blast it up there. It's over. And then I start to watch him. Feels the sand wedge is in and I'm looking at him like what is he doing? -I was playing her and her shot instead of playing my shot. -Why the hell didn't I just blast it in the back of the green 40 feet and get out of here? -He's crazy. -That is a bad decision. -The worst I've ever see him make in life. -He has got almost impossible chip where the knoll is in the green to get it up and down because I know I'm looking for the same shot with what I have. -I'm trying to land it almost to the hole, hit it 12 to 15 feet by maybe use a little bit of slope and bring it back. -Come back. Come on. -I just said hit it close. I don't go for the miracle shot. And now don't do something stupid. Sit. -Good shot, Ash. -Close. -I put the pressure on the men. -All I had to do was get it up and down, he's pitching next to the hole, putt it in, let them claw it out for the rest of the time. I hit a pretty good chip, just flew it a little too far and it rolled up on the same line as Mike which I thought was still okay because I'm gonna get the read from Mike. -He's let himself with a tough putt for bogey. -Yes, he's with Mike. -It went left early. I guess it didn't come back. I just misread it. -I know Ashley's gonna make at least 8. Don still got 10 feet for 7, so I'm thinking well he's got a good chance being right with him. -All I have to do is make this putt and I'm safe and on to the final 4. -He's shoving it. Should be doubtful. -Not. -Good shot there. -It's gotta be the pressure. He's gotta be thinking about that 5 thousand-dollar. -5 for Don, his total is 8 as is Mike's. This is Ashley for another bogey and 8 and everybody will be tied after 2 holes. -In my mind I could hear Stephanie and Vince talking saying like she needs to make this putt. -It's do or die. She misses, she's eliminated from Big Break VII. -I just kept reminding myself like this is why you play golf. You are making your shots. -More photos and exclusive video of each Big Break contestant available online at GolfChannel.com. -It's do or die. She makes it, we go to sudden death. She misses, she's eliminated from Big Break VII. -I had a right to left breaker and you know I just kept reminding myself like put a good stroke on it and hit it in the hole. -Atta girl, Ash. Yes. Nice putt. -Some overtime golf. -And now we have three 8s after 2 holes and it's sudden death for everybody. -I was very disappointed. I tried to play smart and safe and the safe cost me from being safe. -I mean he's gotta step up because he still got that 5 Gs from Dick's Sporting Goods in his pocket. -He made the decision to be in the elimination challenge. Now he's in one, now he's gonna fight. -I'm pretty much know that I'm not gonna make anymore 4s. I mean I'm thinking let me just keep making pars and I'm not gonna try to be fancy. -I still made the ugliest bogey on earth but I saved myself and I had another hole that I could go and make a fight for it. -Well Ashley hit first. -It looks familiar. -Looks like she's leaning right. -Oh. -I was happy that it was on the grass. I mean obviously I wanted a different result. -I knew for her to get that up and down she was gonna have to hit a brilliant shot. -After Ashley hits to the right I am not gonna hit this ball right. I'll hit it in that left rough before I hit this right. -Off the toe a little bit but on the right line. -In the middle of the green, get up, short, short. Get up, get up. Yes. It's on the green. -All the pressure in the world on Donatello now. -She's trying to get a 2 or 3. I don't know. -Can't believe he's not playing a high fairway wood, just left it in there. -He's trying to hit his ball a yardage that I don't think he can hit it with a 3-iron. Into that wind it's 225 yards. -I hit it about a groove too thin. -Get up. Bounce hard. Oh my God. 30 yards short. Oh yes. -He's got his work cut out from there. -Which was not a bad place because I didn't have to deal with all the ridges and the undulation on the greens. -He compare the trouble shots with Ashley and him, he's in a lot better shape. -I was first to hit which I could dictate the pressure on Mike and on Ashley. You know the greens are pretty hard. I should be able to take this, wedge it up there within 3, 3 to 4 feet. -What happened with the Pecanwood? -Oh my Lord. What happened? -This is another questionable decision. -How good a short been he's got and he putts it off the green? He tells me he was really under a lot of pressure. -He's got it so hard to like Bermuda. Are you kidding me? -He's not thinking clearly. I can tell you that. -He killed it. -Yes. -He hit it 15 feet by. -Oh at least 15 feet by the hole. -What is he doing putting that? -The idea of using the putter from off the green if you haven't practiced it then I would say grab your wedge. -For a second I was going right at the hole and I thought oh just please hit the pin. This would just be great if I'd hit the pin and went in and it went racing by the hole. -This is why he's not a talk because he's got all the skills. He just makes bad decisions apparently. -I mean I'm trying to play my game but I'm also watching him because I've never seen him that confident. I'm not caring if Don makes 3 but I still don't think Ashley can make 3. So I'm liking my chances. Give me 3 in the hole and I will get the flagstick. -That's good. Perfect. -Go in. -Perfect speed. -Good putt, Mike. -Yes, Mike. -Nicely done. -I'm just gonna walk out, tap it in, done. -Ashley was up next, took her time. -My main concern was give yourself a chance to make a putt for par. -Hit. -That's good play. -Nice shot. -Nice swing. -Thank you. -That was very smart playing. She has a great chance at par here. -I thought she had a pretty easy putt and so I said to myself let's just make this putt and put the pressure on her to make hers. -He's nervous. He's scared. -There ain't no question. He wishes he would gave it that 5 thousand in a minute now. -He's scared to lose that 5 thousand dollars and be out of this Big Break. -Oh. -Wow. If Ashley makes this, it's over for double D. -Wow. -My heart dropped a little bit on that one. I thought he made it. I literally thought it was going to the bottom of the cup. -Don's fate is now in Ashley's hands. She has an opportunity to step up make a very high-pressured putt for par. -I knew what I had to do and I knew if I made that putt, I was staying and Don was going. -The tides had turned. I know that she makes it for sure. Keep it out of here. -I took my hat off to shake Ashley's hand because I knew she was gonna make the putt. -Hello, Ashley. Goodbye, Don. -Ashley has stepped up and just made the putt when she needed to. -Unbelievable. -And you would say the best competitor among and you give it your all every time. -Don Donatello, one of the best golfers to ever play on the Big Break series ever off the show. -Yes, I hate being eliminated. It hurts. I hate not winning. I feel like I've got so much talent that I have to over analyze everything to be 100 percent sure. Part of me is hurting so bad because I know that I'm better than a lot of those other people that are still there. I did not separate my pride away from my smartness. -He is kicking himself for going to the elimination because he had a chance to go in to the final 4 and he gave that away. -I just hate being on the short end of the stick and I just wished somebody would show me what the heck is going on. -I hope he finds what he's looking for in his golf game and in his life. -Maybe I'll quit, maybe I'll keep playing. Time will tell. I'll make the right decision for my family. -I'm so tired of being nervous. -You can let your nerves kill you or you can use them to make you stronger. -I'm gonna be able to punch repeatedly in the face with a bare fist. -I pulled a wrist also in this driver here I'm about to hit. I'm feeling a little angry. I'm gonna take it out on this golf ball here. -He was gonna beat me. He was gonna earn it. -Oh my God. He's gonna hole out from the fairway. -My family is gonna be awful proud, won a car, won money, and did something I enjoyed doing. I enjoy being in front of the cameras. I enjoy playing and it just sucks that I did not win.
