-Hi and welcome to this golfchannel.com extra. I'm Win McMurry joined by Rex Hoggard and Randall Mell, senior writers at golfchanne.com and Tiger Woods speaking on Tuesday for the first time in a while here in the United States making his State side debut on the PGA Tour. So, why did you take away Rex from the press conference we heard? You know, haven't been Abu Dhabi and following for 72 holes. I kind of took away kind of the way I felt when I left the Middle East. He didn't hit the ball as bad as his stats indicate. He actually played much better on Sunday than his score indicated. 24 putts was great, but even when he was missing fairways, he wasn't missing them by more than 2 or 3 pace. His iron game was a little bit off on Sunday, but you're looking at a guy that's obviously very, very confident even coming off of blowing a 54-hole lead in Abu Dhabi. There is a bunch of ways to look at that, but I still think he's riding away of a confidence that he started I would go all the way back to Sydney in Australia. -Yeah, yeah, he's definitely up or doing mobile track and he's thinking as the old Tiger because you know what in that final round at Abu Dhabi he beat himself. He really did, but the way he thought about it he was closed. He just missed those greens because the talked about the green can hitting 6 of thick greens. Actually, he just missed 4, so in his mind, he hit 10, but that's the old tiger thinking that he is always close. Back to Tiger at his best when he was off, he was always really close and you see him thinking that way now. -Alright Randall, what do you expect to see from Tiger Woods this week? -You know what I expect to see a win. It just feels like it's imminent that things have built. His confidence is build swings improved, and he is going back to a magical place, Pebble Beach, where he won by 15 shots at US Open. He could do anything there, can he? -And I think on the same mindset, you're also talking about a place where he was in contention when the open was around 2010 and that was something approaching as see game. I mean, he really wasn't playing well at that time. The one thing that's going to standout my mind to watch over the course of the week is his putting. Keep in mind, he started with 35 putts in Abu Dhabi in that round 1, finished with 24. There was a lot of room in between, poana greens. I know he grew up on those, but they can still be difficult. He has complained about them in the past. We'll see how he gets off on Thursday and see how likes the Pro-Am format, see how his putters react [unk] see he's back or he's gonna win. -Alright, what did you think about Tiger's overall demeanor during his press conference? I mean he seemed kind of lay back with the media, didn't he? He's been pretty relaxed. Again, I'll go back all the way to Australia last year, I mean, just being in Sydney and even with the crowds and the excitement, he seems to have found a peace, I mean, being in South Florida, being in the new house everything is kind of new, the new caddie. He and Lacava are clearly hitting it off very well now. He just can continue to build on that one. Another interesting things I pointed, I mean, I saw on the press conference was he was talking about he can go and train now and hit balls all day like he used to. I think that's going to be the key factor here. -Yeah, I think, his comment that everything is going in the right direction is what he really believes in his game and talked about being with his children. -Right getting down on the floor and actually kind of coloring with them and how it affected his back or didn't. -Yeah, and also working out -Uh huh. -He's not rehabbing now. He's training again. So, all positive momentum that I think is leading Tiger back to winning form. -Alright, well, it's gonna be an exciting week. That's for sure. Alright, thanks so much guys.
