-It's moving day in the Middle East. Off to Abu Dhabi we go for third round highlights. Rory McIlroy began Saturady 2 shots off the pace. This is his tee shot at the par 3 7th. He's walking after it- oh and with good reason. How about this shot by Rory McIlroy? Almost goes for a hole in one. Would make that sure one for birdie and move to 6 under par. Playing alongside Tiger Woods for the third consecutive day, they're certainly enjoying each other's company. Head to the 17th, McIlroy, 8 under par. This is his second to the par 4. Taking dead aim, wonderfully done. McIlroy would shoot 68 in the clubhouse at 9 under. There were other making a move on Saturday. One of those included Robert Rock. This for birdie at the par 5 10th. Oh and Rock moving to 8 under par but he would continue his fine form, picking up birdies at 12, 14 and 17. This for a birdie at the last. Rock gets it to go a Saturday 66 in the clubhouse at 11 under. But the man everybody is coming to see this week in Abu Dhabi, former world number one, Tiger Woods, his approach at the very first hole. Wonderfully done. Woods would birdie the first for the second consecutive day. That would get him to 6 under par and at the par 3 7th after rattling off 5 straight pars. Woods continues to be dialed in with his irons. Absolutely superb. That would lead to yet another birdie. Tiger Woods moves to 7 under par. After a two-putt birdie at the 10th, Woods was 8 under as he reached the 12th. Another two under score card [unk] issued with the putter in Day number 1. No issues whatsoever here on Saturday. Now on the 14th, Woods for yet another birdie. Perfect read, perfect speed, perfect result. Tiger Woods now 9 under par at the beginning of that hole but that birdie would get him to 10 under. Then at the very last, the par 5 18th, nearly 570 yards and this is a towering second with the 5 wood. And that was just that kind of day for Tiger Woods, reaching the green in 2, he would have a very fine effort for eagle, getting it down to just a few feet. Now, birdie at the last. Day Saturday, 66 bogey 3 for Tiger Woods. He too was in the clubhouse at 11 under par heading in to championships Sunday. So here are the standings after 54 holes. Woods and Rock leading the way, both players shoot 66. Their advantage is too clear of Hanson, Molinari, McIlroy and Lawrie. After his round, Woods caught up with Tim Barter. -Tiger, [unk] 66 to the top of the board. What pleased you most about your play today? -Well, just kinda consistent today, you know. I didn't do a lot of- a whole lot of wrong and then didn't do a whole lot of right, you know. I was just- kinda methodically and kinda moved my way around the golf course and just kinda, you know, [unk] piled up. -Talk us through the second shot for the last- over your cracking shot. -Yeah, it was like- I tried to hit it the same way I did on 10, you know. I had basically the same number so like 3 hours difference but I figured I was playing a little bit longer and the wind was a little more brisk than it was on 10. So I just did- I had already hit the same shot, just do it again and start out over- there's a cameraman just left the green. I wanted to kinda just pull it off of him a little bit and let the wind kinda slide it over there. And I wanted to hit 5 wood, to be honest with you, but I wasn't guaranteed I'd get over the bunker and I figured this 800 yards of green beyond it so I should be all right. -Your score is improving day by day. Is that a play or are you getting more familiar with the courses? Is that a factor? -I think that has a lot to do with it but also I've just been consistent, you know, I haven't- as I've said I haven't done a whole lot of things wrong but I also have not a lot of things right. I was kinda just methodically kinda going about my business and just kinda discussed grinding. And this golf course is playing difficult enough for- Yeah, you can make some birdies. You can get going but also, then again, you can- you know, putt up- get going the wrong way, you know, pretty quickly. So I was just kinda, you know, just trying to hit the ball in the fairway and then move on from there. -I'm seeing you very relaxed out there, chatting with Rory and Robert. Will it be a bit more game face tomorrow, a bit more quiet? -I don't- I don't know. Who knows? It all depends on the pairing but then again, you know, I'm- you know, trying to win a golf tournament and, you know, we had a great time today. It's fun playing- I started with Robert for 4 days in a row. We've played a practice round together so it was nice to get rid of him. -What's the philosophy into the final round then with so many players in contention? Well, that's the thing. There's so many guys. I mean, I gotta go out there and execute in- [unk] a good number. It's not like I can go out there and just kinda [unk] around shooting a par. I gotta go out there and get to it and get after it and post a good number. -Thanks for your time, Tiger. -Thanks. -Tiger Woods in position to pick up his first victory in 2012. You can catch all the final round action to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship Sunday 3:00 AM eastern right here on Golf Channel.
