It's Championship Sunday in the Middle East off to Abu Dhabi for final round highlights. We will start first with the shot of the day, Graeme McDowell with rather pedestrian final round going that is and he reached the par 3, 12th, already hole in 1 this week on this very hole by Sergio Garcia and Jose Manuel Lara through Graeme McDowell in the Mix that is part of the final round 68. We're getting to clubhouse to 11-under par, but all eyes were on the showdown between Robert Rock and Tiger Woods, both began the final day tied in the 11-under par. They both parred the first holes. This Robert Rock's third to the par 5, 2nd. That would lead the birdie to get him to 12-under par, but Tiger Woods would have an answer, 30 putt from some 60 feet at the second. Oh how about this, we have grown accustomed to putts like this dropping by Tiger Woods, so both players moved to 12-under as we jump ahead to the par 4, third. First stop, the approach up by Robert Rock. In this way, it looked as though he didn't like it, but there is plenty of reason to love this shot. Rock headed to about 6 feet so the pressures really on Tiger Woods. This is second of third. Tiger too missing the fairway with his tee shot. He says to Robert anything you can do, I can do better. Game on. Both players make birdie moves to 13-under par. Tiger, though would give those strokes back at 4 and 5 with bogeys now at the 9th for birdie. That would get Tiger Woods to within one of Robert Rock making the turn and have the sense of something big, perhaps happening on the back 9, but struggles for Woods at the par 5, 10th just to save par. It looks a very sloppy 6th at the 10th by Tiger. He now thrills Rock by 2. Don't overlook Rory McIlroy. He was in the group ahead and this birdie at 13th. He's got 11-under par just 1 behind Robert Rock so maybe the pressure being felt by the Englishman, but not for long. Is this birdie on 14th would fall for Robert Rock, so he goes back to 12-under par. His lead is once again 2 after a par at the 15th, Robert Rock was perhaps the shot of his life at the long par 4, 16th, the 5-iron from just over 200 yards. Oh how about golf shot by Robert Rock. That would lead to birdie, get him the 14-under par. His lead is 3 in a very same hole. Tiger Woods with a must made to save par and he does so, so perhaps still a chance for Tiger. He's 3 behind Robert Rock, and again, don't forget about Rory McIlroy. He jumped ahead to the 18th. This very close-in birdie in round 69. It falls for McIlroy in the clubhouse at 12-under. Rock actually had issues off the tee on 18th, hit it into the hazard, but the bogey was good enough for the last Robert Rock. He takes down Rory McIlroy. He takes down Tiger Woods. Robert Rock picks up his second career European Tour victory and does so in style. Tiger Woods appreciates the effort in the final round heroics by Robert Rock. That 70 in the final round. Good enough for Robert Rock to win by 1 Tiger could master, nothing better than 72 on the final day after his win. Robert Rock caught up with Tim Barter. -Robert yesterday we spoke-- -Uh huh. -about the fact that just 9 years ago you were a club professional selling tees and Mars bars in the pro shop in the East Midlands there trying put into words what it feels to do what you've done today and hold off this world class feeling to win this championship? -I come-- I really come to play off tournament today. It's such an amazing feeling. I was just very accurate in playing with Tiger Woods today and that's a special honor itself and I just thought of playing really good and I'm really surprised myself. Early on, I was very, very nervous, but I hit some good shot so then I began to feel-- It's a-- I was gonna study progression from when I finished work in the golf shots and stuff and I've worked hard on my game, but I didn't think this would happen. -Talk to us about the 18th and that ball was at the end of 13th, so your heart must have been in your mouth surely. -Well, it sets off okay, but I hit it a bit and the wind blew it and it was a weak strike as well so I was-- I didn't see it-- I didn't see it lands. I didn't know if it's in the rough or in the sands and then I sort of waned looking quite awkwardly at it so that's gonna be very easy now, but I'm thankful I'm gonna see the next one in the fairway and I figure it out I could do it from there. -How important was your caddie at that state? -He was good. He felt I was thinking about the-- the shot series then I-. -You got have to look at him, but it was-- it wasn't-- I'm sorry. I take it back. -The chasing pack were capable of so much. Tiger with Rory McIlory can do incredible things in a golf course. -Yeah. -What was going through your mind over the closing holes with, you know, a couple shot lead, 3-shot lead at times? -Yeah. Well, I was just wanting to keep it in good shots and making good swings and give myself hopes for birdies and-- and I was expecting-- I was expecting some pressure and-- Well, I had enough from my own shoulder so I was just-- just glad to make some decent swings right up to, well, the 18th anyway. That was a poor one, but-- -You were so excited to play with Tiger Woods. -Uh-huh. -Tell us about that experience 'coz he intimidates the hell out of a lot of people. -Yeah, but he's-- he's a great guy. He's great to play with. He-- He was very fantastic to me all that round. -What does this victory do for you going forwards? -I really don't know now-- nowadays, just an amazing tournament to-- to win. I'm not doing very well here before. I just absolutely amazed of until not this week. -I can tell you in the HSBC Champions or in the Bridgestone. -Really? -You're in the top 60 in the world now, so you will get into the Accenture if you can stay there. And not far I saw that top 50, which would mean the Masters. That's how I'm excited about that. I was a bit [unk] Charlie won't go there. I've been struggling to crack the 100 mark so I guess I've just done that and I love to look at that maybe tomorrow. -People to thank. -To tell you, loads and loads of people to thank. I've got sponsors. They've been with me all the way. Thanks that they will be able to help me with my game from time to time. I had some really good advice last week from Matt Belsham with my driving and that helped a lot and I've had a help with Tony Johnston a couple of weeks ago with my short game, my manager. Forgive me if I forgot anyone, but I'll thank you when I had time. Thank you everyone. -How are you gonna celebrate this win? -I don't know. I got to fly at 2:00 o'clock and so I'm sure they'll have great champagne along the way. -Congratulations! [unk] play. -Thank you very much. -Thank you. -You know [unk], congratulations! Once again Robert Rock for winning for the second time in his European Tour career, the Middle East swing continues on the European Tour. It's the Commercialbank Qatar Masters, all the action comes your way, Thursday, 9:00 a.m. Eastern right here on Golf Channel.
