-Hey. From Indianapolis, [unk] Super Bowl 46. It's Ferdie Live.
Please welcome your host. Who else? David [unk]. -I'm watching
you. -You know, [unk] at that pass to Demaryius Thomas.
You know, I'd- when I saw it the first time,
I thought, "Wow. Why aren't those 2 guys tackling? How
can you [unk] them?" You know, don't you go for
his ankles? Sure, the guy's gonna score a touchdown. What
morons. But- Then I thought, "What was your first thought?"
You know, was it- I'll give you a- like 3
answers here because it's multiple choice. Did you think, A-
well, it looks like I'm not gonna be a car
salesman next year. B, you know, I wonder if I
could do that in the first quarter. Or C, take
that, Elway, you old fart. -How much criticism do you
get, you know, for a, you know- despite all the
popularity, there are people that want to give you a
hard time. How much of that do you get? -Yeah,
I guess. But to be honest, I really don't think
about it. It really doesn't bother me too much because
on the other side, I get a lot of support.
A lot of people are praying for me. A lot
of people are encouraging me and that means a lot
to me. And, you know, ultimately, I know that my
goal and my platform through the game of football isn't
just court touchdowns and win games. You know, it's about
being a great role model and setting the [unk] for
the next generation. My ultimate goal is, you know, to
be an athlete that a mom or dad can look
at their son and daughter and say, "You know what?
That's someone that's trying to do it the right way.
That's someone that's trying to live with [unk]." -Tom, you
know, I'm a little hard at hearing which is why
my [unk]. Most people in the theater can hear it
but I was very worried when I heard who was
coming 'cause it would mean I'd recognize [unk] immediately but
I thought when I heard [unk]- that's the last thing
we need 7 Mexicans with trumpets, you know. So I'm-
I- -I can understand that because it's usually- -Usually in
shows were very prepared, right? We have our notes. We
know exactly what's coming up but it's a little edgy
coming out here because I have nothing. I had no
idea what to expect from you. -I have no idea
what- -But you might have an idea now. -Yeah. -But
I think you should experience something that we experience in
the world of football so I want you to come
with me a sec. Come here. -All right. I'll [unk].
-All right, [unk]. -Are you ready for this? -I don't-
-Good luck. -I'm not sure that- -No, you- It's okay.
You don't have to wear that. All you need to
do- We got lights out here? There you go. All
you need to do is- In the world of football,
it all starts, you know, the foundation starts in the
game of golf. -Yes. -In the world of football, nothing
starts without getting the football. I've been a quarterback all
my life so what I'd like to do is show
people what it's like to be able to get the
ball. So bend over. -Am I the center? -You know-
you know- -I've been- -Move the ball, [unk] football. [unk].
All right. -I didn't know. -[unk] in. Now, I'm gonna
play- -I'm- I'm gonna place my hands strategically -Yes? -for
protection for you, okay? -Right. -[unk] Steve. -So- All right?
Now, you've gotta- There's defensive guys in front of you
so look up. There you go. There you- Now, when
I say- when I- -You know, it's usually done many
defensive guys. -When I say [unk], just slap it up
real hard. -Okay. -[unk]. -Okay. -All right, you [unk]. -Now.
Now, you're gonna experience the game of football. Now, you
can honestly say that. -See? It's the light that [unk]
-Right. -actually do that. -You know what I noticed about
both of those major wins, whatever? You have the confidence
to wear horizontal stripes. -Wow. Yeah, I don't have the
balls to do that now. No, I- -Really? -No, I
[unk] up and down [unk] now. -Yeah. You gotta go
up and down. -Yeah. -Well, that's- Yeah, [unk]. -Yeah. I
love that man. I love that man. -Yeah, what- -He
knows it. -What else to do with -He knows it.
-250 pounds of pure love over there? Look at it.
-Roger [unk], Fuzzy Zoeller, Darren Clarke, Sam [unk]. You know,
I hope that we always have golfers. You know, big
fat guys with bad habits. Really. -Thank you so much

For some reason, I've no- It's supposed to be an
hour show. Yeah. Every show this year will be one
