-Hi, I'm Michael Breed, host of the Golf Fix. We've got a quest...

-Hi, I'm Michael Breed, host of the Golf Fix. We've got a question to us from Facebook here and this is Steve Drees. Getting into the slots seems to be the key to an inside to out swing. Can you give me some drills for nailing this move? You know what, Steve, I've got one drill for you that's going to help you nail this move and it's a very simple one and it's-- it's the one that you have to practise a little bit. You don't necessarily need a golf ball but absolutely can be done with a golf ball. And, what you're going to do is you're going to take it-- a normal grip and then all you're going to do is you're going to take your lead hand off the club. And, what I want you to do is I just want you to get used to what this swing feels like with just one hand. Now, what will happen is getting into the slot, most people miss the slot because they're coming over the top. When you have one hand on this club, you're not going to go and chuck this thing into the ground like that. What you're going to end up doing is you're going end up letting this club swing more fully with the length of the trail arm. So, when I started to do this like this, the club tends to move from the inside and along the ground. After you've done that drill for a little while, then very simply all you're going to do is you just going to put your lead hand on the club but you're going to feel like you're just hitting it the same way with that trail arm. So now, what I'm doing is I'm just feeling like I've got my right hand, my right arm. We're going to hit that ball and now the club comes from the inside. It's not very loud in the mat there and the ball is going to go where I want it to go. So, Steve, if you do that drill just with the trail hand on, you're going to get that club into the slot. The other you can do is you can watch me, Michael Breed, every Monday night at 7 p.m. It's called the Golf Fix and we're here for you.
