-Oh, that's what I missed about boxing. You know, there's
like a competitive spirit, nature, challenge. I never thought in
a million years that the same field would come out
on this course. Okay, my sport is boxing. You know,
I was a guy who is charismatic. I was flamboyant.
I was an entertainer in what you have you-- and
then all of the sudden, I come out here and
it's serene. It's quiet. It's tranquil. It's-- it's competitive. I
think about my sport to what I did when I'm
on the golf course. I really believe I can make
that putt or hit that ball at the right distance
the same way I believe I can beat Hagler and
Hearns. Okay, it's not bad. It's pretty good. I wish
that I had allowed this game to come into my--
my circle. Back when I was competing in the ring,
I wish I'd knew I know now how amazing, how
therapeutic and how much longevity you can get out of
this very challenging game. In the minute you think you've
got it, figure it out. It wakes you back up.
-Well, that's it. This is why I need Hagler. A
great golf shot and you feel that-- and it's effortless.
The same thing when you throw the perfect knock out
punch. It's supposed to be [unk] and it's like-- it
just resonates. It just comes off and just feels that
little tingling that you know you've hit the target, the
sweet spot. It's-- it's an amazing comparison because it's true.
Because, like golf is like-- you know it's gone and
the same thing because yu know who's gone. It's the
same thing.
