Sorenstam considering European captaincy for 2013 Solheim Cup (2:15)

Annika Sorenstam said on 'Morning Drive' Thursday that she has been asked again to be 2013 European Solheim Cup captain and she is considering taking on the role.
TRANSCRIPTS
-We knew about Meg Mallon. Dottie Pepper was in here
Friday. She got emotional because Meg talked about here and
we don't know. We asked her, would you be an
assistant captain? Does this kind of, you know-- Is there
a tour going on now, but on the European side--
the European [unk] last year, you said 13 is not
gonna happen. Is that still the truth? You know, if
not you, who should be the European Solheim Cup captain?
-You know, they haven't made a decision yet and I
think that they are evaluating the different candidates. I mean,
I have been asked, but a decision has not been
made. I think they're gonna wait until, you know, the
end of this month. -What you asked? -If I wanted
to do it. -Okay. -So-- -And so the jury said
you're still deliberating? -Yeah, we all do, yeah -Okay. -Everybody.
I'm not sure who-- You know, there are some great
candidates out there. I just think they wanna make the
right choice and who can commit themselves. -Just I'm a
little confused. You have been asked to be the captain.
-Uh huh. -But when you say we're all trying to
figure it out. Who's we? -Have been asked again. -You've
been asked again. -Yes. -Okay. -That's where we are. -So,
if you wanna do it, all you have to say
is yes and you have yourself. -Well, I don't know
if that's-- if it's that easy, but I've been asked
for them, you know, they've asked me to reconsider and
I guess I'm reconsidering, but then again it's a big.
I sense-- I stand by my answers, you know, it's
a lot to do. I have young family. I know
if I'm committing, you know, if I have the time
to commit to the job. I know what it takes,
you know, being the assistant captain, being with Alison, you
know, she did have incredible job for years. I mean
she committed her life to this, and I know I
have no on that or I just can't do that.
-Will the decision on the Olympics affect whether or not
you are interested in being a Solheim Cup Captain? -Yes.
-Certainly at time different commitment that you will be spending
if you have to go -Yes. -Down to Brazil now
and again. -And with that being said because that's a
very important thing. If you don't get it, do you
think the inclination you'd be more inclined because you have
less than you played. -That I don't know. I mean
I have to evaluate all the things, and they're both
wonderful honors. You know, I've said that I would love
to be the captain one of these day if the
timing is now or later, I don't know. -Uh huh.
