-From the Morning Drive studios with Gary Williams, I'm Erik Kuselias. And, Tiger Woods makes his PGA Tour debut this week at the AT&T. He has played well on Australia. He won an event. He won an official-- -Uh-huh. -PGA Tour Event, 18-man field. And then, he was over in the Middle East and that was right there in contention final day showdown with Robert Rock and he got, you know, the hare got him. Is he in the spot now where he can only have a successful week if he breaks through and ends his drought of-- of not having a win on the PGA Tour since 2009? -No, that-- that's unfair. That-- that's unfair to him. Now, it would be unfair to him in 2000. We've talked about it-- you know, the merits of winning 11 or so. If he doesn't win, it's a failure. I know that he'll project that. That was his refrain in every week. You know, he said it at this event when he lost to Mark O'Meara in 1997, "Second place sucks." That was his line. That was his words-- wow! Who is this kid? No, he can have a really good week and not win. No, you wouldn't-- every single week if he doesn't win, it's a failure? -I don't think-- I don't think it's every single week. I kind of think though maybe this week it is. Considering what the field is, considering where he is in his game, considering the monkey is not off his back since 2009. Until he wins, the graphic goes up. He has not won a PGA Tour event since 2009-- -Uh-huh. -and he's got next long chance to win. A nice little second is-- is great but that means in a showdown like Robert Rock. Somebody bested him and I-- he needs to take the next step if you're going to keep climbing the ladder. He sort of had done everything but close the deal. -Uh-huh. -And, if you're going to keep improving, that sort of the last step in this program to get it back. -So, if you bet-- and, so what you're saying is that if he wins this week, then that will go away. I mean-- -Yes. -Okay. -Without question. -So, we're not going to assume that in the next starting-- -No, I'm not saying. I'm not giving him the-- -He's got to win the match play. -If he doesn't-- no, not all. That's not-- I'm not saying-- -Just get this over-- -Get this over with. -with the breaks through the Vortex. -And, this is kind of I think the week to do it. You know, we're talking about what would you sign for-- for the week? I think this maybe the first time in a long time that Tiger Woods would not sign for anything but win at the start of this week because-- -Where he really means it. -Yeah, where he really actually means it. -Yeah. -And-- but, you know what. Find out because as you said, it's hard to win. And so, it's-- they don't think-- you don't want a church raffle. You're winning the PGA Tour event. It's-- it's hard to win. I would suppose-- depending on how many people are in the church and have [unk] to win that raffle as well. We'll break it down for you each Monday through Friday at 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Eastern. See you then.
