-Here in the Morning Drive set for GolfChannel.com. With Gary Williams, I'm Erik Kuselias. An Orthokine, not a word I used awful enough in a lot of different parties and social gatherings, but Fred Couples has probably thrown that word around once or twice. This essentially is the procedure he's got on his back from this doctor over in Germany and they have an LA office as well, and after having some success and then having another setback, he's back in the field this week at Dubai. When you hear Orthokine and you hear what this is, what sort of-- Without making you put your medal to a medical degree at work, what do you kind of think about this? -That I have no earthly idea what you're talking about. I really don't. I don't know what it is. Obviously, it's effective. You've seen other people over there. Vijay Singh has been there. He referenced other people's photos being on the walls of these offices in Los Angeles, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant. We have heard that Alex Rodriguez has visited this doctor as well. But Erik, as clouded in complete, you know, secrecy to me, I don't know what it is. I've read about it. If you got more for me, how about it? -Apparently, it worked on the Pope, too. -Yeah. -This is a pretty distinguished list, and I saw the-- -Is that a house call at the Vatican? -I don't know if the Pope wore the hat during the appointment. I don't know how this works. This is-- -The mitre hat? -Yeah, the [unk] of the Pope. -That's the mitre hat. -Yeah. Whatever the hat. -Whatever. -That [unk]. I mean, whatever it is. I don't need it. Hey-- But that's kind of my attitude here. Whatever, that's Fred Couples' attitude, whatever. He's saying, "I don't know what they do, but as long as it works, I don't get too involved. You know, my dad always told me, I don't need to know how they make a watch to tell you what time it is." And same thing here. You know, I didn't know the name of the Pope hat. I just know when he walks in, "Oh, that's the Pope" 'cause I recognize that. That's sort of the theme here. I think for these guys it's "if I feel better." When you have pain, real pain, you will do anything as long as it makes you feel better. I think Fred Couples is saying, "Listen, this guy is helping me; it's feeling better. If it's not approved in the United States right now, I'll go to Germany. I'll do what I need to do to get better and get out there and play and live." He's talking about I couldn't walk; it was uncomfortable; it was this; it was that. I think you're gonna hear more about this word. It's gonna come more front and center because when you-- as you pointed out, LeBron, Kobe, Couples; when you start saying those names in this treatment, more people are gonna get interested, members of the media and members of the medical community. They're gonna start thinking. I think we're gonna hear more about this, not less about this in the next couple of months. -Well, we probably will, but the reality is, like with any athlete, you wanna know what's being put in your body. You wanna know the ramifications of what happens. What are the long-term side effects? I don't know any of this stuff. -Apparently neither does Fred Couples-- -Right. -or neither does Pope, but again-- -Just make me feel better. -Right. You know what? There are times when you feel-- When he's feeling that kind of thing. I may have to retire. -Yeah. -I can't stand still. I can't sleep. When you're in that kind of pain and someone says I can make you feel better and you've tried everything else, give it to me. I don't care what it is. -Yeah. -That's sort of where he is. We'll give it to you each Monday through Friday from 7 to 9 right here at Morning Drive.
