-Sitting in the cozy Morning Drive studios for GolfChannel.com with Gary Williams, I'm Erik Kuselias. And Phil Mickelson is just balling right now. He gets the W last week. He comes out on Thursday and has the lead. What is impressing you most about what Phil is doing right now? -He's not making any mistakes, Erik. And when he does, it seems like he eradicates some immediately. When he misses greens, he's making putts. He's 7th on the PGA Tour in putting. And again, it's very early in the year but he was 134th in putting last year. And, you know, he has two bogeys in his last 54 holes. Go back to the Waste Management. Seven bogeys and two doubles. And you can go back to the previous week at the Farmers Insurance. He only played two rounds. He made eight bogeys. The guy is not making mistakes. He's driving it well enough. And, when he's not missed hitting fairways, he's-- he's putting it in areas where he can play it. He's very confident and the light has gone on. -For me, it is the consistency and it is the excellence at the same time and that quantifies to me with having a streak of 49 consecutive holes without a bogey. Now, that ended at 16th on Thursday. But then, he responds on 18th-- -Uh-huh. -with the long chip to, you know, make the dinner reservations, you know, the 35-footer. And, it was often running. So, Phil right now is just playing excellent consistent golf and he's-- as you said, there are no lapses. And, 49 straight holes without a bogey is sort of the proof positive that he is getting it done. Now, last five times, he's lead after the first round. He is closing out the deal. We'll see if he can make it six in a row and that would also be seven of eight. Phil plays from ahead as well as anybody. Tiger has always played really well from ahead specifically in majors. We've well documented that. We'll see if we can play from ahead. Monday, a very special edition of our program. We will reveal live on this show exactly how the match play is seated. Who will Tiger play? Who were the four number one [unk]? You'll be able to find that out on Monday at 7 a.m. with us right here on Morning Drive. We'll see you then.
