-Nike Golf kicked off the PGA Merchandise Show in style on Tuesday night welcoming many guests to town with the beautiful event right across from the convention center which included some very special guests competing in the speed trials for the new Nike VRS. -We had some more like the athletes come down here together. We got them engage in a little competition as to just how much ball speed we could get here with the new VRS family. We're going to compete your current driver against VRS. Do you got some speed for me? -All day, everyday. -Age before beauty. -No more Mr. Nice Guy, all right? This is the real deal. -Come on, Johnny. -Have we met you guys? -That's fast. -You could tell it's fast just looking at it. Watch, the S stands for speed, boys. -Good pairs. -Really, it's this and this. -This one is from a friend. -Okay, so right in. -I think it's good. It's only 339. -I like it but Johnny doesn't catch quite right. It goes about 330 right down in the middle. -It needs some juice on this one now. -Solid. -I mean how much big as to where is the [unk]. -And, I'm fast for a little guy. -Only 350? -I think this is non fat content. -172. That's actually a 90 mile an hour jump as you can get. -90 miles an hour. -Yes. -That's a lot of yard. -Really quite goes. What that means for 336 is pretty far. -That's exactly right. -Yeah, exactly. -You've got another there. -I think so. -Look here. -Oh, we are in trouble. -[unk]. -Again, [unk] 181 ball speed. -That's definitely it. -181 ball speed, 358 yards. -I could barely going to tee in the ground. I'm not even trying to compete with that. -The VRS family speed is not about just your driver. We're going to put more speed on your irons too. Let's see now how much more speed we can pull over VRS 6-iron. -That's not bad for a short guy. -Quite definitely, it launches hard too. -They're not very easy to get near, a lot of weight down blown away with the club head. -Great speed. -It did go away higher too in there. -146 mile an hour ball speed. So, that's a huge ball speed. -148 ball speed. -Nothing can hit it that hard. -236 yard with the 6-iron. -Wow! -And that [unk]. -That's thing is higher as well. -And, it-- it felt good. -140-- well, that 6-iron is ridiculous. -That's faster versus any of these drivers. -[unk] -I mean nothing's out here. -Oh, what made it worked that way? -245. -Really? -All right. So, Ken-- well, how did you get hooked into golf? What really was it that just threw you in and made you want to play? -Well, that thing is quite funny as that-- we have a strike and [unk] stick holes in the house. And, you know, with the Randy Johnson and Jay Prauner, we all decided to just play golf. Just by [unk], you know, clubs and we feel like if we got to stay close to home, let's do some. And, we picked up golf. And, all of us were absolutely terrible. And then, if we lost least than 30 balls on a nine-hole, you know-- -30 balls? -Oh, yeah. We were all over the place because we want to see how far we could hit it, you know. -Right. -We really didn't have a concept about the game. -Right. -We just knew that we want to hit it far. -Now, was the mulligan up to you? Or, they all lost balls? -Oh, no. We-- we had, you know, there was some-- some negotiating. Yeah. -Well, how's your game now? -It-- it's gotten a lot better. You know, if I lost one ball around, I'm-- I'm upset now. So, far from the-- the 30 that I've lost on there but, you know, it-- it's been a lot of fun. I mean it-- it's one of those games that, you know, no matter how old you are or how young you are, you go out there and get that one shot to keep coming back. -Uh-huh. Well, tell us about the new Nike VRS. How did you like swinging them up there? -Oh, I really like it and I'm actually taking it from them. They just don't know yet. -All right. Well, thanks so much. Thanks for swinging the clubs for us and telling us all about those as well. -Okay. -Have a good week here at the PGA Show. -I will. Thank you. -Thank you.
