Golf Channel's Win McMurry tees it up at the Nike Speed Trial booth during Demo Day at Orange County National in Winter Garden, Fla.
TRANSCRIPTS
-I'm here with Nate Randle of Nike and we're gonna
do a little speed trial. Last night, we've got a
sneak peek at the speed trials at the event that
you guys did over the Peabody with some pretty cool
athletes there and-- -Yeah. -I was very impressed [unk] Demo
Day and I wanna try it out myself. So, tell
me-- tell me what we do. How do we test
it out? -Sure. So, this is our Machspeed black driver
that we have from 2011. It's a really, really good
driver. What we're gonna do today is having you hit
this and compare it to our new 2012 product of
the VR_S family, which is the fastest family ever brought
to the market and I guarantee we're gonna add yards
to the-- -Add yards? Bring it. -We'll add yards to
the shot. -Bring it. -All right, let's set it up.
-All right. The old versus the new. -Yes. -Teed it
up for me and everything, I like this. -All right.
-Yeah. Full service here in-- in the Nike booth. All
right. I'm wearing the proper footwear as well. All right.
-All right. -So that's we're on. Do I have any
speed on that at all? -Yup. -So, this is the
new VR_S. This is the grand daddy. This is for
Ken Griffey. -The grand daddy? -This is what Ken Griffey
was hitting last night. -Ken Griffey wanted to like take
this home with him last night. -Yes. -Did he end
up going home with one? -He actually did take it
home. -All right, put in lefty. -Yes and, so, next
for technology, putter across the face, very simple. We're adding
so much ball speed with this and you will be
having [unk] -All right. -Yes. -Straighter. That's good, very good.
-All right. -All right, just tell her that she's won.
Do we know? -Did I improve? -Survey says 193 average
with the VR_S driver and average 183 with the Machspeed.
-All right, so taking up some yards. -Some yards. -That's
awesome. -In that bunker. -Very cool. -Yeah. -I know. Thank
