-I'm Martin Hall. You're watching School of Golf Extra Credit. I get a lot of questions as to what has been my favorite drill on this year's School of Golf. Well, here it is, is to do a swing plan and it's what I called face and trace. Now, I'm going to do this with a laser. You could equally do it with a [unk] and just a couple of flashlight points on the end, and I put this plastic tee here to represent my target line. I put my club down for a moment. I think every swing you take, you should be facing and tracing a line. Now, right here, I set up here to straight and what I had called laser wand here is going to trace my target line as I go back. It's not pointing at ball. Sometimes people did anything but pointing at the ball and as I come down laser 2, it's going to pass through the ball. It's tracing my target line. As I come down, laser 2 is tracing my target line at the moment, and then lase 1 comes through. I believe, every shot you have you should always trace and you should always face this line. Here's watch my favorite tip. This line doesn't always point to the target. If I want to hit a fade, I'm going to move that line over there. Again, like the top 6 shooters here, I'm going to face this line, which would now be to the lift of my target. I think you can see that, but again, I'm going to face and trace that line. The very act that aimed my plastic to the left means we'll then facing and tracing. Now, I'm swinging across the ball to the left. If I want to hit a drill, I'm going the other way. I'm facing, I'm tracing, and now the swing will be more into it, but here's the thing and here's what's been so valuable for my students. When you do this, your hand cuff. The way the hands move around the body never changes. Whether I'm thing a drill or whether I'm trying to hit fade or whether I'm trying to hit a straight shot, my hand cuff never changes. So my favorite drill, the one I feel to have to the most success with my tee at [unk] West Palm Beach. I want you to face, I want you to trace, and I always want you to swing on plane because that's gonna give best changes of all going to the target.
