Do we expect less of Tiger now

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – It's been pretty steady stuff from Tiger Woods in the second round, but have our expectations lowered?

He's plodding along at 2 over, six strokes from the lead, with two holes left. Not bad for sure, but pre-scandal days we would have described this as a poor performance.

Woods made a long birdie at No. 4 (his 13th hole) but promptly gave back the shot at the next, where he had to sink a  clutch 8-footer to avoid dropping two shots.

Barring a late disaster, he will make the cut but will also go into the weekend a substantial distance from the lead.
