Driver once again Woods enemy

DUBLIN, Ohio – Nobody hit fewer fairways at the Memorial than Tiger Woods.

He tied for last in the driving accuracy category, fnding the short grass with 33 of 56 tee shots at the par-4 and par-5 holes at Muirfield Village.

And he was worst in the field at missing to the left off the tee, finding the left rough rough no fewer than 10 times.

Memorial's fairways are wider than most and the wet conditions made it particularly easy to stay out of the long grass, because there was little if any roll.

Tiger expressed satisfaction with his iron play and indeed he did look fairly adept in that department.

However, you have to think he will need to find more fairways at Pebble Beach to have a chance at the U.S. Open.
