Late run lifts Woods safely above cut line

DUBLIN, Ohio – Three straight birdies have lifted Tiger Woods safely above the cut line late in his second round at the Memorial.

At 4 under with one hole left, he's in a decent position, but still a considerable nine strokes behind leader Rickie Fowler, who is already back in the clubhouse at 13 under.

Woods took advantage of both the par-5s on his back nine [the actual front nine], picking up a shot Nos. 5 and 7, and also making birdie at the par-4 sixth.

At least Woods can be grateful that he will beat the bad weather that is expected this afternoon.
