BOISE, Idaho -- Annika Sorenstam cut back her schedule this year to focus on major golf tournaments, but she still found time for Boise.
Albertsons Boise Open officials announced Monday that Sorenstam will play in a charity skins game Sept. 20 at Hillcrest Country Club.
The nine-hole event is a kickoff to the 15th annual Boise Open.
Sorenstam, who won six women's tournaments last year and completed her career Grand Slam with victories at the LPGA Championship and the Women's British Open, will headline the Kraft/Nabisco Shootout, with three more players to be announced.
She's already a World Golf Hall of Fame member at 33 years old. She became a mainstream celebrity last spring when she competed in a PGA Tour event.
